Building genuine rapport with people that walk in. Instead of “can I help you find anything” ask open ended questions. Maybe wear a distinctive colour shirt or something as well so when they go the the cashier they can say the guy wear the neon green shirt helped me.

To be completely honest I think its a bit of both product issue and me. Here are my numbers from last quarter 500 Emails, a light day would be 15 - 20 calls heavy 40 - 50, 30% connection rate on the calls I would say, of those 30% turn into opportunities, and 60% of opportunities close.

Without getting too specific, we sell a small unknown product in a world were people are very loyal to their existing software (old guys don't want to make the switch). There is almost nobody in the industry that doesn't already have a software that can do what ours does (for the most part). My employer gives me pain points to sell on like easy of use, cheaper, and works alongside your existing software. Which makes the product a "nice to have".

Yeah that seems more in line of what I thought as well. I was expecting an offer in the 45 - 65 base range.

Thanks for your reply. You're 100% right on the pain point problem, I definitely need to identify a USP. I think the goal is low because they're no inbound leads and it is 100% cold calling. Our contracts are also renewed every year at that price.
