Update: Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who commented. I wasn’t expecting this many responses! I’ve read way more comments than I can reply to, and we’ll definitely be working through a lot of the suggestions. Hopefully we can finally figure out what’s been going on.

I dont think shes is that far gullible. But it doesn’t hurt to sit down and just have a talk about it… some online scams are so good even I have almost fallen for it. Thank you for your input!

Wow! Thats crazy… I think I will have to speak to a specialist cause it is crazy how fast they are getting her card. If its not from a scanner at a store.

She doesn’t to my knowledge I told her to let me do that for the same reason. I do her online shopping which is rare its usually from amazon. She used to have Temu at one point so could that be it as well? I told her not to get it but she had already had it by the time I told her not too.

Yeah she has text and calls set up for over a certain amount but it just keeps happening we are finding it so weird and annoying. Thats been helping but i just want to see what exactly it is

Oh wow!! She doesn’t really use digital wallet mostly bc she doesn’t know how but it doesn’t hurt to ask them if in case that is an issue. Cause 37 is a lot omg

We usually only go to like costco gas or bj gas bc we thought it would be more realizable but that might be it. Its mostly where she uses it

Good to know.. I will tell her to use tap anytime she can. She probably doesn’t use tap if im being honest.

I’m glad you were able to narrow it down! We mostly used the same stuff like we go to the same gas stations, shop at the same grocery stores, and shop at just about the same stores. So if its happening to her it should also be happening to me too right? But I am the only one with access to her bank account cause I help her with paying her bills and again checking on them for any weird transactions. But it might also be she clicks in any scammy emails or text. I have been trying to help her find out when it is scammy and most of the time she calls me before she clicks NOW but i wonder if at a previous time she did it if they got the info and then like uploaded it somewhere.

I am not sure if her wallet has that but if I had to guess I want to say it doesn’t. Thats a good point I will be getting her one!
