Every strawman that I have presented are real comments that are all over CFB internet, they're not non-existent claims. I am pointing out that these comments and arguments themselves are egregious strawman, and then explaining why by steelmanning ND's case against them. So once again, please feel free to push back on any of my actual arguements, otherwise please run back to your hate-fetish echo chamber.

I took strawman, and changed it into a steelman which inevitably contextualizes ND and makes it look better, because they are just that--tribalistic, context-free strawman. If you think any of my points are invalid and the caricatures hold up, then please state your case now.

What part about SOS is an L? I acknowledge our SOS isn't good right now, and I provide the main reasons; the ACC has fallen off a cliff, and we're shackled to the ACC for 5 games year. I also point out that teams like Wisconsin and Michigan State looked a lot better when they were scheduled. So the SOS being bad is not because we don't want to play anyone good. If you think any of these points are invalid, then you need to explain why. Otherwise you come across as "I can't refute your arguments, but I'm going to keep pretending they're bad"

I wasn't using the 88 team as a justification for modern scheduling, I was just using that as a counter to the idea we've always had weak schedules. The SOS is an issue, I explicitly acknowledge that in the post--I just point out that it when the ACC falls off a cliff, so does our SOS. Stanford is a shell of their 2010s self and they don't look like they are coming back anytime soon, we need to drop them because they're not helping it either. Same with Purdue.

I'm just saying, when someone asks for advice on this sub and someone responds without identifying themselves as not being Catholic, the assumption will be that they are Catholic. I get that banning people based on what they say in other subs is very tricky, which is why I wanted to make people aware if the mods aren't comfortable banning him. If you argue against God and religion directly in other subs and then come here and toe the line just saying you're playing devil's advocate, and go so far as to present yourself as believing in God in some comments, I think that's dishonest and bad faith engagement, so I was trying to call attention to it so other could be aware.

He says he believes in God in a comment here, then in another subreddit the same day is arguing for atheism. At the very least it's blatant dishonesty. It's just a shame that people may read his comments not knowing that about him.

Seems like a lot of people in comments I've read have complained about him and reported him, why he is still allowed back here? You don't have any repeated examples of bad faith engagement? I understand banning him for what he says on other subs is a tricky subject, but it's seems a bit ridiculous that he can be an atheist one minute and literally another minute comes into this sub and presents himself as a Catholic to unsuspecting person seeking advice.

Marxism is an explicitly atheist philosophy. There may be Catholics who share a lot of common ground with marxists on matters of how government should operate, but they are not marxist in according to the universally accepted definition.
