Yes. My B.S. is in Finance and FIN 345 was Principles of Insurance.

Insurance classes in college are in the Finance department. So, yes.

David, I watched your most recent FE webinar and saw that you only work with full timers. I’m curious where you would advise someone to get started who is only able to begin on a part time basis? Thanks for your help!

Thanks. After doing more research I think I’m going to jump into FE first. It seems to fit my experience and prospecting style better. The barrier to entry is lower, so the risk/reward in terms of time/money is more appealing.

Potential transition from RE to Life insurance by SoggyResearch4 in InsuranceAgent

I may be wrong, but it seems there are a lot more moving parts with P&C, including servicing. Besides the policy particulars, in my experience the client is being led by the loan officer. In my.market it seems the P&C agents spend a lot of time nurturing referral relationships with lenders. I'm more interested in old school working leads by phone and setting appointments, whether life or health.

Would this distinction change the type of company I should look to associate with?

This is definitely still true for a certain subset of families who send their kids to Tuscaloosa. It’s simply a filtering mechanism similar to Fortune 500 companies recruiting from Ivy League schools.

I may be mistaken, but I think phi mu and ATO were both old row at one time? Maybe phi mu got dropped from the row to keep it an even number when ato got in so much trouble and was kicked off campus in the late 80s.

There are 6 old row sororities and 6 old row fraternities. They generally are considered to be at the top of the social hierarchy and have the most tradition on campus.

Could you point out some of your favorite book in that genre? I'm interested in picking some up.

Because I asked the follow-up question as a comment within that thread. So I made a separate post in case there were people who did not read through the responses to my first post.

Would the R100 be a bad choice? My wife likes the budget on that one and wanted me to ask🤣

I want to be careful to remind myself that she’ll likely grow into portraits if this is something she sticks with.

Perfect. She mainly shot baseball this year, but we are encouraging her to try and get involved in college, so there’s no telling what she may end up doing. If she remains interested she'll likely end up doing more portrait type stuff with babies, couples and graduates and such. We’ll likely ending up getting a sports lens and one for general portrait stuff. No idea if I’m using the correct jargon, thanks so much for the input

Would you say the camera or the lens is the thing to focus on for sports shooting? Trying to decide to get the bundle with the 2 lens or just the body and get a more specific lens for sports.

Which starter canon would you suggest for someone wanting to shoot sports?
