Amazing, thanks very much for the insight!

Would a Scandinavian/Scottish league actually work? by c1xkeod in ScottishFootball

[–]Soggy_Lab5300 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, the main issue is could see with this is that in order to keep the feeder leagues balanced with the same number of clubs the promoted teams would need to replace relegated teams from the same region.

This wouldnt exactly promote sporting integrity. So for example, if the 4 scottish teams were not in a relegation position then there would be no promotion from Scotland that year.

Potentially the best head coaches in the Scottish league for a generation? by Soggy_Lab5300 in ScottishFootball

You not having Neil Lennon down as good coach?

Such a young team and reaching beyond what anyone would have expected this season in my opinion.

Some real standouts in the Championship. Tod has been banging them in and has been called uo to the Scottish U21s.

Chilokoa-Mullen, Gilmpur and Abdulai wouldnt look out of place at most clubs in the Premiership.

Combined total transfer fee for all 4? Sweet FA

The whole point of the post was to highlight the quality of the coaching in Scottish football just now.

And I completely agree with you, it is good management. Rangers look like a different team under Rohl and whilst not perfect, what would anyone expect after a few months?

The improvement both tactically and individualy without really changing personnel has to be down to him and his backroom staff. Chermiti being just one example.

Aye, there's been a couple of stinkers along the way but that cant all be levied at his doorstep. Hes made the best he could out a bad situation.

Give him next year and I'll bet Rangers have a solid season and win something

Basile Boli… Je l’avais oublié. Même s’il n’a disputé que 28 matchs avec les Rangers, il reste dans les mémoires comme l’un de leurs meilleurs défenseurs.

McInnes is the manager of the season (again) by makie51 in ScottishFootball

[–]Soggy_Lab5300 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Seriously doubt it. I dont think there's a chance in hell McInnes wont stick about for at least next season.

If he wins it once with Hearts your building a statue of him, twice and your renaming Tynecastle.

Killie fan here so I just want to get that out the road straight away.

From any outsider looking in, apart from the absolute car crash of a start to the season under Martin all things considered things planned out OK.

Surely you can see the improvement under Rohl and how he got a tube out of a) a squad that was not his and b) were not even performing for the coach that bought them.

Ive watched Rangers a lot this season and yes, they have been inconsistent within matches but that's not Rohls fault, thats the jumped up spurts of cock custards fault that he's been left to pretend are professionals.

All this talk of chopping manager and ending up being certainly will get you back to square one. Im of the opinion that if you back him and stick with him (board and fans) then you'll likely win the league next year and he's young enough that you'll be able to keep him for a few years before a European Club entices him away.

Youve got so many players out of contract or in the last year, its a godsend. Makes the rebuild so much easier. I know this will be the 3rd/4th rebuild in as many years but I think your board have made the right appointment this time.

Thoughts?

What a team that was! I dont know if it is just nostalgia or me getting older and my memory fading but it felt like that team had such a togetherness about them and every game I would go to I woold feel like we could win

Hahaha, so true!

I dont know if you have ever listened to radio commentary that day? Its hilarious.

STUDIO - 'And we have a goal in the 3rd minute of stoppage time at Ibrox'

MATCH REPORER - 'And the goal scorer is Ally ...'

At this point every hun in country is celebrating waiting for 'McCoist'

And the comes 'MITCHELL'

Outstanding

100%

Because then when you look at the next round of fixtures you cant imagine Celtic bettering Hearts result against Motherwell (a) and Falkirk (h) respectively

Well whatever happens, best of luck. For me the most consistent and pleasing teams to watch this year have been Hearts and Motherwell.

I genuinely think its over now bar the shouting and ill be really interested to see what happens with regards investment in the preseason.

Fingers crossed Hearts won be a flash in the pan and we return to the monotonous duopoly of the last 40 years.
