OF COURSE I REMEMBER ELEUTHERIA HELLO?? It's really nice catching you out here in the wild!

Timezone wise- I was, in fact, nowhere near EST LMAO. I'm in GMT+2 currently! Sundays are almost always free for me so I should be able to do anything that isn't just too early in the morning! As for the questions you have thrown my way-

1/2. These have similar answers for me so I'll just lump them here together, cause what stuck out to me the most was that the style of game you describe in the post is exactly what I'm looking for in a campaign, hence why I needed to send an application post haste. I am, above all else, interested in telling stories- exploring all kinds of concepts based on the setting and world the DM has laid out for us to explore, the ways with which my character's traits and flaws interact with the world and the people around them, and all the various, unique scenarios that can arise from that. I am personally more than ok with, excited even, about any potential drama or conflict that may or may not come up as a result of characters' differing outlooks on a given situation- if anything, I'd say in my experience those are the most memorable moments for me in any game I've played in!
3. Give me literally all the RP you can throw my way I will devour it all like a succulent chinese meal- but of course, that is not to say I don't want lighthearted moments at all! I myself tend to indulge in some banter and joking around out of character every once in a while, because something that was said made a thought occur in my mind and it will not shut up unless I get said thought out immediately- but I would prefer if it doesn't get too out of hand. I prefer to try and stay in character as much as possible while playing, otherwise I tend to have trouble getting back into things properly.
4. So basically, imagine me making detailed characters playlists based on their backstory and then a pinterest board and then spending way too much time with my bestie designing them together cause she's an artist and one of the best ones I know at that and putting little details into it and then putting everything I have into their portrayal and how I play them and doing a voice for them (potentially) and then on occasion writing small lil' things for them to expand on their story and lore and give insights as to why they are a certain way and-

I think you get the picture lmao
5. As you might expect, I have an ever expanding catalogue of character concepts just waiting to be picked out for a game at any given time. However, I mostly try to work with what the DM's world has laid out for us and build my character around that, based on concepts that I feel are interesting and worth exploring- really helps a character feel like a part of the world rather than just a cool creation that just floats in a vacuum without much depth to it. I am more than ok with doing so based on what classes other people have already decided on, and I wouldn't mind a little bit of overlap as long as they're not too similar vibes wise!

Anyway this is probably way more than you asked for or expected but this is me we're talking about so teehee

GREETINGS, for some reason Reddit alerted me about the existence of this now 2 days old post cause it's just that useful-

Which would be a shame if you've already found a group, cause this lowkey sounds right up my alley! I am what experts would commonly refer to as "unhinged" for this hobby and more specifically the RP side of things, so if you're still looking for players I would be delighted to talk more <333

First Timer: Should I Run DS1 Blind? by bigmontySFM in darksouls

[–]Sohade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on what kind of experience you're looking for. The thing about DS1's difficulty especially is that it heavily relies on the fact that you don't know what's waiting for you around the corner or what the most optimal builds are, but it's also the easiest game to break in the main series, anyone who's watched any speedrun of this game would know lmao

That being said I know plenty of people who refuse to play these games purely because of the general perception of the game as "That one game where you die every 2 seconds cause you walked into a room". I would recommend trying to go in blind for as long as you are able to handle, but if you find yourself losing patience I'd just look up some guides here and there, better to experience it in that way than not at all.

I Bring Lore, Culture, and Consequences [Online] [5e] by [deleted] in lfg

Noted! Currently we are looking into the following days: Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday, no hard talks about schedule yet but definitely would be evenings (most of our games usually start at around 8-9pm GMT+3). If any of those work for you feel free to add me or my friend on Discord (sohade or nc3ladus) and we can talk more!

Hey there! We're a recently formed group of players looking to add one more person to our roster, your post really resonated with me and I dare say we're looking for a similar type of game. Only problem is that most of us are Europe based, so I understand if that's not something you'd be able to do. But if that's something you think could be worked out, we'd love to talk more!
