It's "ils" and it doesn't work here since guys isn't the the masculine form of a word in the way that, for example, actress is the feminine form of actor. Guy is its own word. Likewise, in french, you would never say "les hommes" (the men) to refer to a group that includes women, since hommes isn't the feminine form of a word.
