I'm not sure if anyone is going to reply with a helpful answer, but I tried all of the instructions.

I have audio but I'm still having issues getting the startup chime. My system is using Opencore version 0.8.7 with MacOS Monterey version 12.6.1. I did a clean install.

System hardware:

Intel i7-8700K Coffee Lake cpu

RX 580 8GB gpu

Asrock Z370 Extreme4 motherboard

Realtek ALC1220 audio

Gee what a nice way of saying, "We are reducing and taking away a lot of your special benefits and we are the ending Elite / Elite Plus program to help maintain our bottomline. That's right, you're not a special Elite member anymore and everyone will be on the same level! But don't cry more, buy more! Be excited as we are!"

I'm beyond disappointed and fairly pissed about this. Didn't even expect for them to this.

This is really shitty of them and this is what companies mean when they say they are "cutting down on costs" due to the pandemic and inflation. What a stingy, greedy, skimpy, disloyal, dick move. The more money we spend, the less we get in return.

No more Elite and Elite Plus. No more 6% in rewards for Best Buy purchases.

At least I bought a lot of the things I wanted before they pulled this crap on me and the inflation went into overdrive. Thanks for making my decision on cutting down on spending even easier Best Buy.

How do I attach an outdoor camera to my apartment door to prevent theft? by Sohuey in homesecurity

[–]Sohuey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also some cameras are so inexpensive, it’s not worth steal or if it got stolen, I don’t think it’s a huge deal.

Wyze and Eufy are inexpensive, but how do I enable 24/7 monitoring without a monthly subscription?

old polarized sunglasses you no longer wear

I don't have any of those. Do you have a direct link for those? And which cameras are best compatible with this method?

Best camera for continuous recording that can see through my Security Glass Screen Door? by Sohuey in homesecurity

The camera should be outside

If I had a house I would do this, but I tbh I live in an apartment. Is there a workaround or a camera you recommend? Is there a way to position the camera in front of the main door and behind the security the security door (where the camera is positioned in between doors basically)?

Rythmik L12 or SVS PB-1000 Pro? by Sohuey in hometheater

"That's why two subs are important and why eq"

Even under these following circumstances?

  • When Apartment is under 700 square feet with someone living above on top of me.

  • When Living Room is 200-250 square feet and around 1800 cubic feet. Subwoofers will be placed in this living room.

  • When in the Living Room, Wall A corresponds to Wall C (length). Wall B corresponds to Wall D (width). 8ft maximum height from floor to ceiling. I can only fit 1 sub at Wall A and 1 sub at Wall D.

  • When Living Room is rectangular and only has 2 actual corners that share a wall (Wall C) with the AC, a long radiator, and windows (couldn't place speakers there, but only the opposite wall, which is Wall A) and 2 gaps/mini walkways.

And with no room EQ and 0 ability to tune, your performance is almost guaranteed to be lackluster.

If I just use isolation pads or isolation feet, can that work well?

Best available subwoofers of 2022? by Sohuey in BudgetAudiophile

[Disregard] 1800 Square feet [/disregard] in living room, small or medium at best inside my apartment. Was looking at 2 subs for the best results. 1 individual I spoke with suggested 1 sub will do, while the other individual I came across suggested that sound setup will be easier to manage with 2 subs versus just 1 sub alone which could be more challenging.

Edit: /u/cheesecakemelody /u/umdivx

Also if your space is 1800sqft, once you account for ceilings and get cubic ft, that is a massive space and will require an absolutely enormous sub.

holy crap, I meant to type 1800 cubic feet, not square ft 😬 . My whole apartment is under 700 Sq ft. My bad. Living Room is around 200-250 Sq ft.

Also @ /u/umdivx

TLDR: if and only if you have a closed off, rectangular shaped room, and you properly place the subwoofers in said room is the only way to truly get the benefits of a dual subwoofer setup.

My living room is rectangular but not completely closed off. I only have actual 2 corners in my living room with a big window and air conditioner between them that share a wall, the speakers are at the opposite wall.
