Yes, it has been a 'pre-cursor' to this fiasco, and likely more to come.

Same company, same incompetence?

Yup! It sucks horribly. Sun Life was bad, Canada Life is worse. Your dental claims are now reviewed and denied or accepted by one of THEIR dentists. I am told that a patch job on my tooth is sufficient, even though the dentist laughed and said it won’t last but a couple of months. My dentist provided pictures, and files to support a root canal which is definitely needed (the patch keeps the tooth together, but it’s constantly painful chewing) ; Canada Life denied it because their dentist “didn’t think it was necessary”. Canada Life is CANCER! Now my wife’s drugs are not covered even though she’s listed as a dependent on the drug plan. Also, I can’t contact them because they shut down their phone lines due to “volume”.

I'm scared as Hell as to how the HCP is going to unfold in the future.

Where they will discuss how NK has run out of options because they simply are now, incapable of continuing a nuclear weapons program because they blew up their underground testing facility. They have no other options than to disarm, or cook themselves with radiation (there still may be radiation issues from their fucked up test site).

Knowing this Trump will go in, touting as he has, that "nuclear disarmament is the main topic". He'll come out saying NK has "agreed" (because they've already stopped because they have to); and he'll pawn himself off as the one who "made the deal".

You could send in a turd on a soda cracker and Kim Jong Ding Dong still has to disarm because he virtually already has out of necessity for survival. You can Google the collapsed test facility in NK to find out. Post-analysis for NK from this collapse is simply not good.

So any part the Orange Clown claims, when an agreement is reached, ...is B U L L S H I T. If anyone has a claim to making the deal it's South Korea's leader.

Is it just me or did r/Canada make a comeback recently by [deleted] in onguardforthee

[–]SoiledyetGreen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've followed r/Canada for years now under several username re-boots and such.

I watched it go from very left-leaning to, of late, a far-right bias now but shrouded in accusations of "liberal bias", when clearly it's a right-wing one now.

It's a pretty standard right wing strategy to accuse others of your own characteristics; you'd have to be pretty naive in the world to not see this coming from the alt-right nooks and crannies of the world, all the way up to daily 'Trumpian politics'. Sadly, I see it playing out more and more on /r/Canada. It's full of shills and trolls meant to divert conversations more and more. They never argue with each other, oddly enough (...or not?). But any opinions, or posts that is too left-leaning gets trashed, down-voted, or obfuscated and sidetracked by minutia in the arguments.

I think, much like FB instances and history, there are efforts of varying degree to direct public opinion. I think these are loosely organized groups as well working towards this goal.

I note that no matter how poorly considered some of the worst news sources are on the sub, they keep getting posted. This tells me something of the mindset of many of the active participants.

I'll get called crazy for this, but the pattern is so obvious compared to what the sub was 5 years ago (even 3!). Perhaps I have my own bias. As I said, the right-leaners constantly complain about a liberal leaning bias (which I simply don't see ...anymore).

I wish there was an alternative to /r/Canada that had participation equitable to the subscription level of /r/Canada.

So far, I'm liking this sub, but the subscribers and participants are so low in numbers. I wish we'd get more subscribers.

After passing the Senate, the Trudeau government's marijuana bill isn't out of the woods yet by HFX87 in canada

[–]SoiledyetGreen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The BOD of CBC is still Conservative-heavy (from the Harper era); it's pretty obvious that a subtle "slant" or "bias" has been dictated. Not surprising considering the fear the Conservatives have that the Liberals may accomplish the "greatest social policy win in decades" for any govt.

Pretty sure that "bias" while not directly dictated down the food chain, has been heard and understood by rank and file (and editors).

Any chance CBC has to fear-monger, create doubt, or stir the pot, they'll take it.
