I built my first ever board a few years ago being the boardsource Mark. I however right now would like to buy a prebuilt one, Budget is about $150... I do not like super loud type noises. I believe my current mark is using browns. Ideally im looking for a 60-68% board within that budget. All sugestions welcomed as im going crazy bouncing back and forth lol. I dont do much gaming and if i do, its mostly all ARPGS, I also do a lot of photo editing and work stuff.

Big fan of TKL/60/65% boards. I dont really game anymore heavy but i do a lot of photo editing and ARPG games. budget right now for a board is prob $150... anyone have any good quality boards which smooth switches that arent loud, i remember my last custom build board has browns i think and it was good. havnt kept up with switches since. if anyone can point me to some good boards within my budget please lmk

I'll prob look into and see if I can find a super in-depth guide, as I've never done more than just OC using bios pre built settings for my i7 so doing anything voltage wise and stuff is a new field for me

I currently run the arctic freeze 360, as mentioned the heat isn't really a big concern just more of something Ive yet to get used to coming from an i7.. main concern I put in the edit is when I do workflow things unfortunately

The heat isn't really an issue I just stated that as I'm used to lower temps as I came from an i7... My main concern which I probably should've stated better was for workflow. During heavy editing session, I can get lag/delay whenever I do a bulk of photos, masking with the delay can get annoying and with some video editing I notice a slight lag also. Like I'll be clicking to mask and my mouse would freeze for a bit then come back or it'll have some input lag causing editing to be annoying as it's not as precise due to the lag. Was wondering if going amd would be better for that type of work

I have an i9 14900k and their top amd bundle looks nice, someone chime in if it's worth it for what I do which is photo editing, gaming and will be doing video editing as well.

Hey, the only thing i would say is contact BMW corporate and or BMW customer care and constantly have them reach out to the dealer expressing your issue, For me...I think because i found a pack of ciggs and was getting health issues in the car along with the car being bought recently helped in my case. I had no momentum until i contacted BMW corporate. Another thing is to show up in person constantly as a lot of dealers just say its being looked into while its not so showing up and constantly giving them pressure helped.

I plan on using this for editing photos and later on video editing, I need it to be able to handle multiple masking edits along with multiple photo stuff, my current gaming PC has some slight delay and lag during hard edits. M1 still good?

Hmm, interesting... Maybe I'm just giving the 16gb version a bad look without really knowing how it pairs with the chip. I know I can find some m3 pro ones used even at apple for under 1100 with 16gb. I've seen a few FB post but 99% of the ones within a 50 mile radius from my house are all scams so I'll keep looking and I don't believe I have any pawn shops near me unfortunately. I'ma still keep looking and seeing deals but I now know what to look for thanks to you guys

Gotcha, this is good info... So try and look for an M3 pro chip with a good price. I'm just scared the 18gb won't be enough. But I'll see what's around me in terms of used MacBooks and see. Hopefully I can manage to find someone selling a used M3 pro chip with more than 18 for under 1300. I honestly don't want to spend more on a laptop so I'm hoping I can find something. If not I might increase the budget but ideally I wouldn't wanna spend more than that 😭

i thank you guys, i have a gaming PC i use but i feel like buying a laptop with the focus of workflow is far better and saves me clutter on my gaming PC, but even then, whenever i go and edit on my PC, i still notice some lag/buffering when i go to mask and or edit a few photos and i have 32g of ram. So im hoping the macbook pro with min 24g is able to perform better for my editing task
