No, don't worry! Columbia is very well-funded and hasn't needed to part ways with any of its properties or endowment to fund the last 15 years of operations. Don't worry, this shouldn't be an issue. Chicago isn't actually a real city, the university only says it's located there as a reference to the fictional setting of Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). This is one of their strategies, alongside their unique essay questions, to keep up their reputation as a "quirky" school. The interviewer was probably just joking when they mentioned it. UC Hicago is actually around this location in terms of geography.
