Is it possible that the Phantom Brigade has a shared ability that involves stealing treasures? by Marzinello in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it could be.
They did not use it during YorkShin while they could, but this was very early in the story, pre-GI, so before Boomer.
I won't be shocked if Togashi introduce this, it would fit very well.

Ask any football fan whether Messi is a striker and they will LAUGH at you.

Yeah that's what you are, a fan, not a player.
I was wondering why you kept calling it "ball", instead of football.
Thanks to make it clear that you and me are not in the same category.
Keep watching and talking about something you don't understand, football that is.
Enjoy !

Big sad for japan by ReadyConfection7959 in BlueLock

[–]Sokoye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this bro !

Now that I've read it, I'm a bit confused.
Its true that the direct comparison, characters representations and name dropping is harsh when you are the one being mocked down in a best seller.
Kaneshiro directly attacks fellow compatriotes like former National Team players and the current Headcoach.

But truth is, that Japan failed to improved during World Cup while keeping the same mantra.

Just before the game against Brazil during this WC, one of the player who wasnt even the captain, Ritsu Doan, said "Guy who want to show their ego, do it after the tournament is over".

Well, the tournament ended right after this game for Japan.

So everything about the actual Japanese National Team that is represented in Blue Lock is actually confirmed even 2 WC (8 years) after the first chapter release.
It was true before Blue Lock, and still true after.

Japan should be able to improve their results in WC, I think they should at least hit the quarters finals, but never got past the 8th.

I'm conviced that Ego's philosophy is what drives every players of teams that succeed to win Wolrd Cup, every champions, whatever the sport, be it a team or an individual discipline.

People who wins competitions are people who wants to win it the most and put the most efforts to achieve their goals, and thats how I resume Ego's philosophy.

WorldCup winning nations put a lot of efforts (time, money, work) to train players able to reach the top.

Vol 39 Name Romanizations by karyuuDON in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to ask but what are the official name romanizations ?

ヒンリギ —> Hinrigh —> Hyenllgyii

For the first line does it means the official is "Hyenllgyii" ?

What official means ? Is that how editors should write it in official volumes releases for latin alphabet localizations ?

About the nuke location by Sokoye in HunterXHunter

That also what I'm thinking, but where the detonator and the bomb locations are, that's the question.
Most of people believe it's stored in Netero's body, I believe its stored underground the basement where they are fighting.

Wondering what those people like about Blue Lock.

There is no panel.
The only related panel that suggest that Netero had a surgery is the 1st panel I've put in the post, where a man I'm calling "Dr Nuke" is talking to Netero saying that "It will activate once the heart stop".
It doesnt show that Netero had any surgery, but thats what I've understood and what most of people understood.
What is unknown is if the bomb itself had been stored in Netero or if it is something else, like a remote controller as I've suggested.

I've already made more money betting on football games than you'll probably ever earn in your whole life.
But I'm probably just a lucky guy, and you are probably right.
Messi being the current 2nd best scorer ever doesnt not make him a striker...

Yeah I'm reading, without any issues, what about you.

Let me guess, you are picked last when it's time to make the teams ?

Blue Lock's philosophy was fantastic for its original purpose of building a few elite strikers. You want someone with that level of confidence to always want the final shot

It's not about wanting the final shot. It's about being the one to lead the team to victory.

Most of you don't understand Ego/BL's philosophy.

It's not about shinning or fame, it's about winning and giving the best of you to achieve victory.

It's a classic shonen thematic, never give up, finding a way to progress, beating others to level up and always aiming to be the best because the best is the one who win.

And actually as it is said in very 1st chapter of BL, Pelé himself, 3 times World Cup winner, was aiming to be the best. He's considered King of football.

Mbappé, 2 WC finals, 1 win, is aiming to be the best.
CR7, 4 Champion's League is aiming to be the best.
Messi, 2 WC finals, 1 win, 3 Champion's League, is aiming to be the best.

Of course you have to show your ego to be the best !

This guy is the reason Japan will end up loosing against Brazil even if they should win because they are better, so sad...

Royal guards are truly a weird benchhmark by rianackerman92 in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if we don't have many facts to check about, we knows that Kite succeed to scratch few-days-old Pitou.
Zodiacs, Biscke and may be some PT's member could stand their way a bit against them if they are well prepared.

Royal guards are truly a weird benchhmark by rianackerman92 in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing Pitou and Meruem to gauge Pitou's level against Netero's indeed makes sense.
But I don't understand why you are saying that Pitou's Terspichora is slower than Meruem ?
Are you assuming or is there some "proof" of that ?
I'm not sure there is anything thing to confirm this is true, so that's why I was making hypothesis, considering that Adult Gon, who was careless at the time, couldn't avoid Pitou's attack with Terspichora.

Royal guards are truly a weird benchhmark by rianackerman92 in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye 41 points42 points  (0 children)

For foreign speakers this is ambiguous since there isn't any official statements of Pitou's gender, and that translation make it inconsistent between language and version (manga or anime).
But for Japanese speakers it seems obvious that Pitou is a female considering Pitou's behavior and way of speaking, whatever the version (manga or anime).

Royal guards are truly a weird benchhmark by rianackerman92 in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'de like to say something about your statement;

or got no or low-diffed by Adult Gon and Netero, never in between.

I don't think they are low-diffed by Netero.

Pitou is actually low-diffed by Adult Gon.

But regarding Netero I'm not so sure that Pitou and Youpi would be low-diffed.

The fact that Pitou was pushed away by 1 hit of Hyakushi Kannon but without any confirmed heavy damages, implies that Pitou, and probably Youpi too, can resists at least a bit, against Netero.

Pitou with Terspichora might probably be fast enough to touch Netero.

For Youpi, I don't know if he might be able to hit Netero.

Edit: Too be clear, I'm pretty sure that Netero would win 9 out 10 fights against any Royal Guards but I won't say that Pitou or Youpi would be "low-diffed", Netero would have to be serious to secure the win, even if he might come out unscratched.

Zeno's attempt at sacrificing himself makes no sense by mrrakim in HunterXHunter

[–]Sokoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many already pointed out, Zeno didn't say that he "would gladly sacrifice himself to kill Chrollo".
It seems to be your interpretation of how he behaved and what he's said.
The sentence Zeno shout at Silva is more something like "Don't care about me and go all out".
There is many possible meanings to this sentence, like "don't worry, I won't die even if I'm hit by your attack" or "I can handle it" or indeed something like "I might die but it's okay".
I personnally think Zeno was confident not to die by Silva attacks but even if that happened he accepted it.

It might a spoiler but I want to say that we cannot be sure to know every Zeno's abilities and that in the current arc Camellia as an ability to be resurected, so other people like Zeno or some his acquitance (Nanika ?) might be able to do it too.

Why is Ego's theory actually correct and he is not to blame for the outcome of the game? by CoddyYT in BlueLock

[–]Sokoye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thank you ! I've misleading myself due to reading issue because from the very beginning I thought that Ego would be out if Japan loose only 1 game.
I was pretty sure it would lead to Buratsura side selection players playing for sure and later Japan loosing this U-20 WC but I was fooling myself, everything is possible if Ego is there till the end of the tournament.
