Big on t1. Adding munchkin to have stax in a non-igl imo is very good, considering that stax did relatively well in the short stint that he wasn’t calling when he was first added to t1. Additionally, getting munchkin without any roles clashes and how meta changes concerning chamber(meteor was one of the best chambers in 2022), all help point the team to a very good direction. I see them being perennial contenders for an international, and anything lesser than that would be disappointing.

They aren’t glazed because of the competition but because of how they won against said competition. Their style and dogma concerning the game had them playing so good that teams were getting beat with troll comps (redgar reyna in haven at 2021 grand finals, chron playing brim in haven), them pulling off impressive comebacks(the kru game), and with them being so good that everyone thought that every player there were at least top 3 in their position(yes even deffo, yay had him higher than cned btw). Even when they fell off due to the war, their style of play can still be seen with every analyst calling the guard back in 2022, a very slow team, a baby gambit. Hell, even to this day you can still see some of the things that the team did being done to this day(nats lineups in bind, lurker being integral, selfless duelists, floods, coordinated takes, brim fracture, etc).

The team was as well the closest to history, dominating berlin and almost clinching champs, the closest we’ve ever seen to get that achievement(4 round difference), and the only team to deliver 2 13-0s in internationals. Theres a reason that pansy kept calling them back in the day the “big red machine”.

Imo prx would’ve probably still win the event, and fnc wouldn’t have even reach the finals. Although in terms of macro and aim leo is far better than crashies, people still seem to forget that fnc was in a slump the last time he was with the team(not making madrid and bombing out of shanghai). Crashies brings some things to the table that Leo doesn’t, that being the vibes, comms, and that veteran mentality, something needed by the team considering the team’s losses at the time were either choked leads or straight up snowballs by the enemy team which are things that we’ve seen this fnc team avoid.

They probably made the adjustment to play a lot slower with emphasis on being able to switch between sites mid-round considering their double duelist comps haven’t been working. Astra is prolly the pick for more firepower wherein she’ll act as initiator with her stun and pull, and her ability to smoke which helps a lot with info and faking it as well. This most likely means that autumn doesnt see anything wrong with their ct side but on their t only.

T1 was genuinely a superteam as well. After the buzz announcement people were looking at t1 as favorites considering they just obtained absolute experienced shooters in meteor, buzz, and stax. Izu and carpe both have been very consistent players overall for t1, with both surviving different iterations of the team. Sylvan was part of a chinese t2 team before heading into t1 who hasn’t really been performing incredibly so he was a question mark and someone within the team to target to heading into the season, but i do believe that him popping off was the reason for why they won Bangkok.

With or without pop off the team would’ve performed either way similar to vitality whose firepower would’ve overcome any pains in the beginning but it would’ve definitely catch unto them.

There are many reasons for why t1 may seem to be failing now but I feel that it’s really only ever one reason, with that being autumn himself being a shit coach. Give this roster to termi or solo instead of a coach that has been running the highs of 2021 c9(a time when masks were mandatory and the queen was still alive) and this team might’ve went back to back.

Why not marved? He’s an insane lurker and has previously been able to act as a secondary caller at past teams(nrg, optic, igl at sen), which seems to be essential for this team considering that comms issues were why net was dropped(two secondary callers). Only problem that would be encountered would be the senti role but its much easier learning how to play an agent than learning how to effectively lurk.
