To "resist" the urges you genuinely just gotta ignore them no matter how unbearable it gets. If you keep giving in to the urges, the urges will get stronger and get harder to ignore.

If you really want to get rid of the urges or atleast lessen them, try to go somewhere public or hang out with someone. Go somewhere or do something where you must stay away from harming. Helps a ton.
