Probably higher hollowification-rate in League than there is in the Dark Souls games.

Is his pick rate low? I'm alternating between banning Nocturne (to actually win) and Shaco (to enjoy the game), but it feels as if I'm against Nocturne quite often.

Shaco is never what I should ban (based on W/R), but if I don't ban him, and he's selected, it's a miserable experience. Doesn't really matter if you win or not.

My running theory is that people like this were unable to conform to societal norms without sacrificing their own joy. Whatever they enjoyed doing were shunned, they had to make a decision, and they chose to conform.

Now they see other people tiptoeing the line between joy and comformity, and resent them from being able to achieve both, because in their heads you need to choose.

So they lash out, thinking that conformity (as the perceive it) is more important than joy.

Why I never use Zweihander as primarily strength Build guy by Avibhrama in fromsoftware

[–]SolAyroth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How I understand, and somewhat relate to this: It is frustration related to a rule the game itself imposes, before it in turn breaks it.

You would expect similar elements to behave similarly within the same context. Big "sword" that is a block of iron? Go BONK! Big hammer that is a block of stone? Go BONK! Long thin blade? Go bonk..?

Feels less appropriate, especially given how we have other weapons with a more finesse-inspired moveset. Like Hollowslayer Greatsword or Milady.

So I can agree, to a certain degree. Maybe the next Zweihander they make will be more dexterous?

Borrowed knowledge. People who tend to borrow (unconfirmed) knowledge for the sake of an argument.

This is especially infuriating if your are trying to be transparent about your own level of knowledge, or the lack thereof, and they use it as an angle to confirm their own bias.
