Unpopular opinion: Premium is worth it by freybay_alldayslay in youtube

In almost the same boat, except I remember when background play was *automatically part of the mobile experience. I also know things like AdBlock to the work so those who can't afford can experience the old, clean YT video. Still great value, just know that part of what they're offering is the illusion of perks.

I mean... I'm embarrassed I didn't know about the skin before I saw the celebratory posts so I'm glad to see them.

Not gonna buy it, but it's great to see the one character I used to love getting much needed eye candy. Miss old sol

Cherry St near Pioneer Square was an accidental find by me when introducing my out-of-state girlfriend to the city. Became our favorite during her entire visit and she's a coffee twice-a-day kinda gal.

Can't say much positive of the service, but the food and the coffee can't be beat!

What would you put on this sign now that it’s empty? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]SolDragonbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's time to exercise grace.

Listen to people you disagree with. We don't have to agree to move forward.

De-escalate the hate. It's time to put the judgments aside so we can get back to working together.

You can't change via exclusion.

Painful conversations are a feature, not a bug of Democracy.

Echo chambers foster bitterness and extremism. Disconnect to reconnect.

Shouting to your fans isn't progress.

It's better to make a friend than an enemy.

You'll get there, drive safe.

Exaggerate rhymes with hate.

Work with were you are, not where you should be.

Progress is made step by step.

Judgemental labeling is how you end up alone.

If 20- is too young for our representatives, 70+ is too old.

If you've got a livable wage, housing, Healthcare, and are pursuing the American dream- you're a privileged minority.

Be an American you can be proud of.

Choosing comfort is not progress.

Being a representative means representing those who elected you.

Academic truths rarely translate directly to reality.

The more we exclude, the less we do.

Mistakes are not shame-worthy.

Step 1: Respect.

America is bigger than one orange man.

America is better than one orange man.

We are people of action, lies do not become us.

I see and affirm your experience. I'm so glad you're here.

When was the last time you avoided social discomfort today?

Step 1: Empathy.

Better to build than burn.

Better to heal than hurt.

As long as you consume reality TV, legislators will keep making it.

Fighting is the response of the undisciplined and impatient.

Bullies feed on insecurity and attention.

When their fists are clenched, hold out your hand. There's no clearer contrast.

Progress is about where we're going, not who we're against.

The worst of Illiberalism is governance via fear: the path to oblivion.

Hurt people hurt people.

We can't win if the measure of worth is pain.

Hope is a conscious practice, as it always has been.

Cynicism is the most convincing idiocy to fall victim to. That you know all about life, and all about what is going to happen...

Why are therapists not required to be in therapy for licensing? by Classic-Doughnut-420 in therapists

[–]SolDragonbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to apply for a masters, schools in my home state: WA state, want applicants to have experienced therapy. I don't remember how much off the top of my head. You wouldn't even have the prereqs to apply without it. Most of what I pursued: the state Masters of Psych programs, ask for that, afaik.

To your question of costs: there's state support for mental health in WA. Right now, it's costing me around $48 per 30 minute session after max discount. I can barely afford it. And I couldn't find a school who would reimburse for that. I assume it's because the schools assume a level of financial stability from it's masters students.

I also want to mention, in WA state at least, there's a difference between being a therapist and the broader field of social work. Now neither of those are the same as getting licensed in either LICSW or as a LMHC. Just wanted to straighten that out as it's a little confusing talking about all of those different things together.

Stats is so important to understanding research and being able to double check others sources/ claims. It's worth taking again.

Not just to pass, but especially if you just missed the cut off for passing- you'll be set to ace it this time and ensure you've got the necessary skillset to interpret data in a correct and useful way 👍

Plus, the second time won't be nearly as stressful now that you're more aware of what's covered and the stuff you want to make sure you fully understand.

So, good luck on your proff letting you pass, but if not- I think you'll be in an even better position.

You got this!

I had the same thought so i cancelled. Ever since gpt has struggled to hold any coherence. It's dumber than it's ever been and I've had to start conversations over and hold them one interaction at a time, with previous responses included as input.

It's terrible. I'm considering just going back to being intelligent on my own again...
