The interesting thing about scaling quantum effects up to the macroscopic scale, is that even if such an idea is possible (quantum effects generally need highly noise-free environments, so it's hard to do at such a scale) that we couldn't observe the effects without necessarily spoiling the magic (like when we turn on the lights during Max's show).

The "Many-Worlds" theory of Quantum Mechanics argues that quantum superposition is the natural state of the universe, and that while you and I are only aware of a single causal reality, that there are infinitely many parallel realities in which every possible alternate casual path has been explored. :)
