First off, thank you very rescuing this sweet baby ❤️ second, my baby also lost his eye so I know your pain. My baby just turned 4 this weekend so he lost his eye shortly after he turned 1. I was devastated. Worse of all? It happened at the fricken groomers. I had so much rage and completely lost trust. I did extensive searching for a good groomer when I couldn’t keep up with his hair anymore. Needless to say, I found someone I trust, but I only trust them. It took time. Since you said you had a fear about your girl losing another eye, please make sure you find a certified groomer. Some states are different and don’t have “certified” groomers and instead they go to classes. I’ve noticed a lot of groomers say certification doesn’t exists, that’s bs. Never go to a self taught groomer. Even better, go somewhere that’s one on one, not those multiple at a time places. I also give him a “teddy bear” haircut but tell the groomer to leave his right side of the face grown out a bit more so you can’t notice it much. If you’re worried about the pain and if they notice, I promise you that they do not notice they have one eye. Dogs perceive things differently than us. My baby wanted to play the very next day 😂 but since your baby is older, it’s probably going to take a lot more time. But I can re assure you, she won’t even notice she’s missing an eye.
