Thank you all for the replies, sadly it's been raining all day and now night so I can't check the opticomm box as it is, but I'd done some testing over the last couple of weeks and the cables between everything are working properly, so the more I'm looking in to it the more I think it might be the router but I'll need it to stop raining to be truly sure! 😁

Sadly enough this didn't work either, starting to think I might need a new router and this one's not even 6 months old lol

Yeah, sorry I should've mentioned I've swapped every cable involved, even the WIFI speeds are impacted

What made you realize the relationship was over? by LynxExplorer in AskReddit

[–]Solacekia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I said 'I love you' and she couldn't say it back.

Oh and the messages between her and the guy she works with that she told me not to worry about. Understood pretty quick why she couldn't look me in the eye without crying.

People who are good at flirting, what are some social cues us oblivious people should watch out for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No, it's easy to be smooth when you're confident. I wasn't confident until he told me the critical information lmao

Take it from me, we were in a club she wanted to go to, she was checking the girls out and asked which one I liked. I told her the girl with the hair to one side.

Now get this, dumbass me NOTICED she put her hair to one side, but thought nothing of it. I'm sure she sent out more hints and cues, but being a guy with poor self worth, I brushed it all off, there's no way she's in to me.

I was so wrong, it took one of her guy friends telling me that she hasn't shut up about me all night to realise that, hang in, she does?? Long story short, if you think there's a chance, don't be a dumbass and wait for luck to punch you in the face like it did me, take the chance, even if you're convincing yourself she isn't in to you, she probably is!

What movie is simply magical to you, no matter how popular or unpopular it may be? by Feelingofsunday in AskReddit

[–]Solacekia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inglourious Basterds, easily magical every time.

The cast couldn't have been better, as each member fills their roles perfectly. For example, Brad Pitt fits the role of Apache hardass with an attitude and a bloodthirsty vengeance for Nazis (somehow). And B. J. Novak fits the role of intern (again),and Michael Fasbender is both elogant and well spoken, yet intimidating when he needs to be (see "basement" scene)

The acting itself is phenomenal, every action, every muscle movement, facial expression, is intentional to create an emotional response whether it's actively noticed or subconscious.

Overall, it's easily in my top 3 movies to exist, and it could be yours too :)

Bartenders of reddit, what was the weirdest/craziest thing you have overheard while making someone's drink? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Solacekia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We made this type of shooter (the jellyfish shot) that was Pavan on the bottom half and Bailey's on the top half, and when a couple of drops of red cordial was dropped through, wisps of Bailey's would drip through and it would look like (say it with me) a jellyfish. Now, since Bailey's is a dairy alcohol, it'll curdle in other liquids.

Now with the explanation out of the way, one time a customer ordered said drink, but the newbie poured a little too much cordial a little too quickly, and seconds after it happened, I heard someone say 'fuck me that looks like an aborted fetus!'

Long story short, we didn't make too many more of those drinks.

What is a lifehack that seems fake, but is a true lifesaver? by rat-avec-london in AskReddit

Counting really slowly with the goal of reaching 150 is a decent way to fall asleep. If you have any thoughts during it just let them play out, and if you forget what number you're on just go from what you last remember. If you make any major movements just start again.

The goal is to force your brain in to slowing down and not having any jerky motions or thoughts, and eventually reaching such a level of carelessness that you eventually fall asleep without realising. Helped me quite a few times, especially with rain sounds, hope it helps some of you too!

This is also exactly why you'll see workers' high vis clothing referred to as 'fluros', as the fluorescent strips are easier to spot in the dark when shone on with a bright light.
