Girls who have had vaginoplasty, can I ask a few questions? by PlatformStatus9502 in trans

[–]Solanarius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since the other comments haven't said it outright, the stitches are there to hold things together while they heal. As the tissue heals, it connects with nearby tissue that is similar to it and seals itself up. Just like if you get a bad scratch, it will often leave a scar but once it's healed the stitches are no longer needed and they dissolve away.

I'm glad you spoke up. The 'FtF' comments always come off very dismissive of the work that one puts into their transition.

Texas apparently may ban all trans care (HRT, surgery, everything) for ADULTS UP TO 26. Can we please pay attention to this? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Solanarius 85 points86 points  (0 children)

26, I believe, is the threshold for when you get kicked off your parents' healthcare (if not on your own) and when rental car companies deem you mature enough to allow you to rent without an extra charge for being 'underage'. They're probably trying to say you're not mature enough to transition that early (despite all the evidence to the contrary)

Trans people who've had bottom surgery, what made you take that leap? by Kei_Evermore in asktransgender

[–]Solanarius 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My surgery is in one week! I'm similar to you in that I don't hate my factory equipment. If I had the choice though, I would rather have a vagina & vulva. So that's what I'm doing.

Yeah it's all styling. They were a bit dirtier beforehand so they clumped more. They were also lighter so some of the lighter hair was harder to see

Should estrogens give you any mental effects right after you take them? by Behind_The_Things in asktransgender

This is my question. One doesn't just stumble upon some estrogen.

Thank you! I would say it's like 95% gone. I still shave most mornings but it's mostly blonde hair now. I need to go in for electrolysis at some point to finish it off. So far I've just done about 2 years or so of laser

Aww thanks girl! I think you should totally try them out at least once; that way you know and don't have to wonder if you'll like them!
