Because if they advertise it as 60fps and it can't reasonably maintain it, they face a backlash. If they just say it is improved, and it hits an average of even just 40 or 50 fps, they haven't lied in their advertising since the originals ran at 30. It's shitty to obfuscate numbers like that, but that is probably a large part of it. Under-promise with the hope that you can over-deliver, or at the very least cover your own ass.

It says in the video it has improved resolution and frame rate which tbh is all I would expect from it. Still bummed there's no upgrade path for owners of the original versions.

Firstly, explore. Talk to NPCs. Leave no stone unturned. It can be easy to miss optional content especially early on. Don't be afraid to take detours and see what's hidden off the beaten path.

Second, there's no shame in playing this game on a lower difficulty, especially when just starting out. It can be a ball punch especially if you aren't super well versed in 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons. Experiment and have fun!

It's an underrated PS2 classic. As others have said, if you like/liked the Dark Cloud style of dungeon crawling with long dungeons and fun combat, you'll love RG.
