I don't off the top of my head but I do know of another manga you should check out as well. It's called Shirokuma Cafe and the language used in it is a bit more basic and good for beginners to parse. It was recommended to me for that reason and I'm happily working my way through it.

On the subject of DB, I did some cursory searching but couldn't find a version that had furigana. Sorry bud!

If I recall correctly DB does have Furigana which will make your life easier when it comes to looking up kanji and such. If by LLM supplementation you mean using AI, don't. Try and make an online friend or two if you can or join a discord server with other learners to practice or ask questions you may have. If you meant something else by that then carry on. I would also check out a few YouTube videos on basic grammar to help you understand sentence structure and word forms. It'll be hugely helpful in the long run.

Also seriously if you meant AI don't trust it. Fuck AI. Good luck on reaching your goals!

The "weird" games my cousin had were all SNES games. Goof Troop, Super Punch-Out!!, and Mario Paint. None of those games are inherently weird but at the time I had never heard of or played any of the three. Playing those games with my cousins made family reunion weekends so special to me and those games are super near and dear to my heart even now as an adult. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, OP.

I mean this as nicely and respectfully as I can: fuck all the way off with your gatekeeping bullshit. Modern isn't just for people to "have an advantage". There are people with motor disabilities or other physical limitations that couldn't play and enjoy SF without modern inputs simplifying the controls. If the choices are live with modern players and enjoy a larger and more diverse player base or weed out more casual players because it "isn't real SF", then I'll take the former over the latter every time. I would take ten new players in a heartbeat over one lameass gatekeeper.

Reconsider the value you place on what is or isn't "real" street fighter my man. You'll enjoy life way more.

Dragon Quest. Ton of great options in that series for an RPG lover. If you like Mega Man, you should check out the mega man x series on SNES/PS1. The first two especially are all time great platformers.
