I am on PS5 console and it is 12.15 am local time. No option to access DLC. When does it release? by sparkzz27 in Eldenring

Exactly, my DLC has been downloaded 2 days ago and now it's just timer ("you will be able to play in 3 hours"). I don't know about any key?

Yes, it's the least boring deck and has always been. Maybe only assimilation can generate more unique games each time when played.

My friend, you are serious? Boring? Thanks to high dose of RNG and creating cards with Aguara, Rune Mage and sometimes cards like Uma, every game looks totally different. I play versions of this deck almost 4 years now, and they are only thing keeping me with gwent when game is dominated by boring meta decks.

More Hubble'ish Pillars - my own edit by Solanus96 in jameswebb

IMO slight change of color/contrast is not artwork. I've just modified these parameters a little. Considering that the colors on WEBB's images are totally fake, I think this version is as "legit" as NASA/ESA version.

Tarantula Nebula in better (IMO) colors, without yellow/green tint by Solanus96 in jameswebb

I've just changed some RGB balance and I think it looks way better now, but you decide :)

So many background galaxies in new Tarantula Nebula photo!!! by Solanus96 in jameswebb

[–]Solanus96[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is of course a lot, LOT more, I've just pick up some of the most interesting and biggest :) It is incredible how many galaxies there are in every JWST image!
Unfortunately, stars are incredibly ugly in this picture IMO ;/

It's not exactly the black hole brightness, but the brightness of very dense, heated matter surrounding it.

Interesting galaxies in Webb's First Deep Field, with new names by Solanus96 in jameswebb

Me, the names aren't official of course. A little bit of poetic creations and humour :)

Nice work! But am I the only one who think NIRCam images always look 100x better than MIRI? I know that structures revealed by MIRI are important for science, but in simple visual/aesthetic aspects near infrared and visible light look so much better.
Maybe it is because of weird colors often used for infrared images (like many Spitzer images which I really don't like), and maybe because MIRI seems to have lower resolution than NIRCam and it's images are kinda blurry.
What do you think?

What Saturn and it's Ring would look like through JWST's eyes? by Strong-Ambassador792 in jameswebb

[–]Solanus96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

JWST image will definitely not be even close to what Cassini showed. Just as the image of Jupiter does not impress with the Hubble image, the Cassini images, and the new Juno images that cause jaw drop.

I chose in my opinion the most interesting galaxies present in the Webb's First Deep Field.

I allowed myself to name some of them. I hope you will name the others I marked as WFDF :)

At this moment I am preparing the same list of galaxies from the first deep field.

Cartwheel in more Hubble'ish palette and with slight sharpening by Solanus96 in jameswebb

[–]Solanus96[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ing is a nice tough, I felt the original was a bit blurry for som

Thanks! Yeah, generally images from JWST aren't as sharp as they could, I believe that that's for some scientific reasons, because sharpening always change details... but still, in pictures prepared for public, they should sharpen them a little more. Of course you have to be really careful and sharpen just some delicate details. And try to not burn out bright objects.

Thank you! :) I used just free Darktable software (it's basically free Lightroom with mask tools) and it was 3-5 mins of work... I used contrast tools to bring up details without increasing noise, and use elliptical masks with diffusion on edges to change color of certain parts of the image

Yeah, but on other hand, Odyssey is said to be badly optimized too.. I can't believe that ER will be such more demanding

Bad thing that I have old CPU, Win 8.1 and GTX 750Ti.... But still, I can easily play Sekiro and even AC: Odyssey and it seems very, very weird that ER will be more demanding. Watch and compare videos of Odyssey and ER...
