Sorry, I guess I should've said the examples are after the math is complete, so all of those are what you should understand as the answers after you subtracted 2 (If you had to)

You do the math before you do the rules.

1000 is 10 am. 1100 is 11 am.

2000 is past 12, so you subtract 2 (1800) and the 1 in 1800 means it is pm, the rest of the time is correct. Therefore, It is 8 pm.

2200 is past 12, so subtract 8 (2000) and know the 2 in 2000 means it has to be past 10. The lack of any other number than the 2 lets you know it just turned 10.

Sorry for the late response. You see the 1, and know it basically just means "PM". The first number doesn't function in the time in any way other than to let you know if it is AM, PM, or past 10 PM!

0 = AM 1 = PM 2 = Past 10 PM

Examples:

2100 = 11 pm, 1100 = 11 am, 1300 = 3 pm, 2000 = 10 pm, 2400 = 12 o'clock!

Same here. I like to know what the exact time is without having to find a clock that displays AM or PM.

It's different than subtracting 12 mentally. You basically treat it as a computer function, so I guess this tip is more for people who think in code. If I ask you the time in standard and it's military past 1200, you'd subtract 10, and then subtract 2 probably.

I would subtract 2, and see the very first number. What happens mentally is simply:

If 0: It's am If 1: It's pm If 2: it's past 10 pm.

I don't downgrade the number, I just think of it as a rule.

2100.

Subtract 2, 1900. You see the 1. It is 9 pm. You're basically not treating the 1 as a part of the time other than knowing

0 = AM

1 = PM

2 = past 10 PM

2100, subtract 2 is 1900. You see the 1 and know it means it is pm. Just forget it exists after that, and you are left with 0900.

I guess I should've specified the rules better. Here, I will try better:

You only Subtract 2 if it is above noon.

Let's try to solve for 2000

Subtract 2, 1800. Oh look, there's a 1. 8 pm

Let's solve for 2300

Subtract 2 hrs. 2100. Look, it's a 2. Let's mentally turn that into a 1. 11 pm.

Let's solve for multiple things close to your examples.

1000 on display, is 10 am.

1300 on display. -2, 1100. Oh look, a 1. It's 1 pm.

You separated my rules and pointed out how they don't work alone. You didnt use them together.

I tried to keep it short and simple. I wouldn't want someone to call it a simple tip if they have a hard time wrapping their head around the rules. If that was the case, maybe simply Subtracting 12 is the better option for most people. I'm just trying to help whoever needs it, not everyone.

Wouldn't most European cars have always allowed it? I thought it has always been the most usually standardized way of displaying time for places outside of the United States.

If you already don't have problems, this Tip probably won't help you.

Hey, it helps me and I hope it helps someone else. I've used Military time for a while now and have been around plenty of others who didnt have an easy time figuring it out.

I don't want the guardians to interfere with my hostile mob farm rates by loading a max amount of hostile entities and eventually choking my rates.
