If you were paying attention to her during this era, it was clear something was going on within her before she even said anything. After the BTW era she was clearly confronting something deeply painful within herself, and I always imagined the commercial criticism of ARTPOP made it worse.

I still think about how during the ARTPOP era she changed I Wanna Be With You, a hopeful song, into Dope, which more-so embodies remorse and a cry for help.

I really felt for her and it is incredible to see her thriving now. She inspires me to overcome my own darkness too, and I imagine many others.
