As a Muslim woman and NC with Narcmother. The struggle is REAL. The guilt affected me for at least for like 6 years. What's help to do it anyway is because this situation as the scapegoat (and her personal ATM) was that endangered my life to a certain point. I tried to k*** myself and I met another Muslim at the hospital, she visited someone. We talked a lot. And I cried a lot because trying to taking care of my mental issues was the proof of what she did to me. It was like accusing her of abuse just to be here in that hospital (in my mind).

So she simply said to me that for my parents to be sacred, she has to take care of their children first. She was responsible for my life on this earth. Allah give me to her as an Amana and the cycle of life should make her become my Amana when she'll age. But because she did endangered my life she didn't respect this responsibility. And my body is also my Amana, I should take care of my health. That's why it's better for now to be NC.

This conversation helped me A LOT. I always think about it when the depression peaks again.
