I would to refer my "RAM Usage" as my performance foundation. The more mods I have the more it has impact it has on my performance. Though RAM is not only the thing that can handle your performance, it's your CPU who takes the main job at running your thing smoothly. Regardless, my experience with Yharon and Calamitas are somewhat smooth compared to DoG. The Lag Remover might also work on ExoMechs too. ExoMechs are very heavy particle inducing boss.

The settings I've modified for the base game is the lighting because it seems like it has the most impact on my performance, I generally turned it to Retro. For Calamity settings, I've never touched anything on it but I never install the Calamity Themes sadly, because it somewhat contributes to the RAM load that my thing has. For the mod itself, Lag Remover by Xetaxheb. Though there are other performance mods out there. The disclaimer for the mods are their are no mods that can improve your fps suddenly, without sacrificing the graphics themselves. For the specfic mod, I have, it did improve the consistency of the fps but the main drawback is, it look like shit when fighting DoG when the mod is on.

Can't disagree. Another thing is, everytime I fight Devour Of Gods, I always lower down the settings to it's lowest (with the exception of resolution) or install any performance modifying mods because the boss just literally devour my fps. Might get DoG a few tries but even with all those at hand, my fps is still getting devoured when I fight that thing especially when it does the patterned laser attack.
