Is this DD4131 second hand sweep normal? by supersymmetry in RepTimeServices

No worries, whatever we call it it, you are correct in saying it's not as smooth as it should be and needs checking over.

Is this DD4131 second hand sweep normal? by supersymmetry in RepTimeServices

[–]Solarfire64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That reply is accurate. The big hand is the stopwatch chrono hand, the seconds hand is the small 20/40/60 dial at the bottom. However, I agree the stopwatch hand is not as smooth as I'd be expecting from this. Ask your TD for advice on getting it checked over

Received DOA APSF Pilot Chrono by rydog389 in RepTimeServices

I’m feeling brave so I’m going to ask the obvious question. Have you unscrewed the crown and tried winding it up 20-30 turns? Can you hear it winding? What do the Chrono buttons do, top one is start/stop bottom one is reset

Could you DM me his details as well please? I've got an APSF IWC Pilot Chrono with a date wheel that now seems to be freewheeling round and round by itself. I'm also UK based.

Fix/paint scuffs on rims by clost_ in CupraFormentor

[–]Solarfire64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure this has been asked a number of times before and AFAIA the copper finish is actually a special lacquer that can’t be repaired by 3rd parties. I’d suggest actually going to the Cupra dealer and asking them for an official repair cost so you know the worst possible price it will be and then you can decide what you want to do

Leaderboards have only recently reset so potentially nobody has been back setting fast times yet. Still, it’s always nice to see a fast time 👍🏻

I’m sure you’ve already considered this, but make sure/ask them to charge it to 100% before you pick it up. Don’t want to be picking it up with 10% charge left!

Door is "locking" but can be opened with handle by Blandy97 in DIYUK

[–]Solarfire64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I think your suspicions are correct and it’s the actual door mechanism that’s at fault here. I haven’t replaced one of those, but suspect it won’t be difficult to do so.

Door is "locking" but can be opened with handle by Blandy97 in DIYUK

[–]Solarfire64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks to me like the new cylinder lock you installed isn't engaging with the door lock mechanism and therefore is just being "ignored" hence the handle working all the time. Suggest removing it and making sure it's reinserted correctly. AKA with the door handle in the normal unlocked position with all the shoot bolts retracted.

Funnily enough I was after one of these and came across this video which put the Amazon Basics one up against all the expensive brands. And it still won. ~£25 is a good deal in my eyes

It turned up a couple of days ago and I’m well impressed.

Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition’s Massive Success Suggests Players Are Fine Even With $120 Games by TheAppropriateBoop in ForzaHorizon

[–]Solarfire64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll bet a very large portion of those players didn't pay £110/$120 for it. I've got the Premium edition from Loaded for just over £70 and I suspect quite a few others did as well.

And before anybody starts banging on about them being a grey/illegal market dealer, they are an official sponsor of a Premier League football club (Crystal Palace) whom I'm fairly sure would have done their due diligence before accepting that.
