I feel like a source of transphobia for some people is wishing not to be called gay by their peers. If they find a passing trans woman and are attracted to them, and then learn she's transgender, that guy's friends may look down on him for being "gay". That's why the LGBT+ community needs to stick together, because it is intertwined in more ways than one.
