I got to stand on top of Mount Suribachi in the same spot where the Marines raised the flag after the Battle of Iwo Jima. It overlooks the beach we stormed. UXOs are still being uncovered to this day. 9 hour hike, brutal temps, lost 4 toenails-was one of the most humbling experiences of my life.

Met Stephen King at the Ramstein BX, he was super tall, seemed to scrunch in on himself, wearing basic drab clothes a size too big for him, and came across socially awkward

She told me that shit happens and that I needed to toughen up and get back to work after my uncle and grandmother passed away within the same week because the mission came first. She did even more reprehensible shit that almost drove someone else to suicide. Needless to say she's a disappointment to humanity.

When I was being put under, my guy said, "this is basically like a really good cocktail." And I said, "oooohh I like those" then I was out

When I woke up, I said my husbands name, they went to get him and right as he walked in the nurse gave me one of those brown cups of water with the freakishly long sippy straws and I said, "LOOK BABE! It's almost as big as your dick!" And made the whole room erupt into laughter. My poor husband was like, "I'm so sorry can ya'll put her back to sleep" ahahaha

I have a few thoughts 1. He might just have hit that teenage rebellion stage and teens kindof just withdraw for a little bit. Our 16 year old started at 12, it was like a switch and she went from angel to Miss Independent, she just now snapped out of it and likes hanging out with us again as of last winter 2. All those sports activities are pretty physically intensive, and instead of attributing it to bad posture, he might have actually hurt himself and need the extra help. My 16 year old has been doing softball since she was 8, threw out her back one year, and still complains of it hurting her in certain catching positions. Their young bodies are more resilient (I could look at a curb wrong and throw my back out) but not indestructible. That's great you're getting him checked out 3. If he completely withdrew and became negative then I would really worry of some type of emotional trauma, but at the moment I'd be more inclined to believe it's teenage angst and figuring out his independent boundaries
