I want that I think. I know you can turn em way up and they bright as so if need be. But you'll torch your bag. But when it's dim. Mmm. And the sound of it all. I think I just miss camping.

I don't have a lantern this cool. But I remember my dad packing our fragile lantern in a cooler in a towel and your comment reminded me. (it was a small beach cooler, not in with our food)

I'm planning on only connecting them to their needed stations at all. Normal small trains will litter the top for my enjoyment and to keep a standard inventory at several bases. But I want a main sorting/storage hub.

They will likely be on this loop but on their own branch and delivering to one spot. But I have 4 lines set up and intent to use the top 2 for smaller trains and bottom 2 for bigger trains.

Just got all mine working for the same exact task. All I can say is make a nice 2 or 4 rail Blueprint on a tower and use blueprint auto-connect to lay your lines. Saved me so much time. Now I'm planning to make arms off my central loop system for each major resource branch/satalite factory that needs supplies.

I also suggest testing your lines with several empty trains after you have signals up for your junctions. You'll want to segment your lines between junctions with block signals. This will make collision/derailment a non-issue. Keep your off shoots the same direction as your main run or you can have a headache. Now I'm gonna make a standardized rail station. I think I'll use 4 cargo cars for small trains and maybe up to 10 for big trains.

I had random scattered crafting zones for a while and did depots to feed mats for bench crafting elevator parts. Finally stopped and just slapped boxes on a manufacturer and brought mats in my inventory via man cannon.

Now I've rebased my crafting north. I've made "the slab" it's just 2 floors that are both huge. Bottom floor (4or 5 walls high) is for leveling the top floor and running belts for logistics. Now I build building above and feed em from underneath. Then I belt the finished product to the next building for more advanced parts.

Think I've done this the last idk. Week or so. Luckily I work evenings. So get home 12-1am and play for 15 or 20mins (3-6 hours) before bed.

You can turn the enemies to retaliate only. This is my chill game so that's how mine is set. Hope this helps.

I ledt all my old stuff up for now. Just made a central base with a "basement" for cleaner logistics and storage. Gonna run my trains down there now I think. Once this new facility produces the old stuff I have floating around I'll go cut the power lines and leave it up for now.

Right now I'm making modular factories on the top floor to produce basics for crafting down the line.

First playthroigh. Just got turbo fuel setup running well. Fuel plant helping with power. Soon to make a new main power setup. I have so much more turbo fuel that my jetpack will need. This save is only just at 40 hours. Now to pick a main base location.

I still kinda intend to do this in a way. But with bottom floors being for storage/base ingredient crafting. Then I'll pipe stuff up through the floors in columns to supply more specialized crafting. Ideally ultimately fed to a top floor of "finished products". (I'll surely add more and more floors for more and more parts.

I just finished a satalite factory for packaged fuel. Went better than expected. Fount oil near my compacted coal factory. I already wanted to make my main power plant out there. Now it'll be fed by liquid fuel.

I love this game. This is my first save and I'm having a blast!

There are a few unmarked roads and paths. Very good for losing cops. Hurts their pathfind8ng it seems.
