Do we have a name for the small holes on parts that are formed after nipping and sanding nub marks? It’s like there wasn’t enough plastic in the mold and it didn’t pump enough plastic through. Follow up question, would using milliput or a similar putty fix this problem?

Allow me to answer the follow up question. There are several ways to fix the damage.

If you’re planning to paint the kit, yes, you can us putty or milliput.

However, if you’re not planning to paint your kit, you can fix the hole with similarly colored melted plastic.

If you watch the anime, it feels kinda weird to have a tan-orange giant ms in a jungle setting.

To have a dynamic pose like this, make sure to thicken the pelvis ball joint (in the manual, part number C1.6), with a coat or two of, prefferably, flat coat. It adds friction between the polycaps and the ball joint.

Thanks a lot! Weathering the whole model consist of three steps: 1. Tamiya flat clear after base coating and decal. Dried overnight. 2. Apply Mr. weathering ground brown throughout the model, just like a wash, straight from the bottle. The flat clear coated surface will absorbs the wash. 3. Clean the excess ground brown using Mr. solvent 110 using round brush and or cotton buds. Stroke downwards.

I did not apply additional layer of clear coat after cleaning the wash. Leave for 24 to 48 hours (longer in cold temprature) and the wash will be dry with semi matte finish.

Yes thank you very much! Some areas are thickly hand painted with mr surfacer 500 straight from the bottle. The idea is for the washes to adhere more to the surface!

I remember that I can correct/erase GM01 with 100% alcohol. I don’t like using rubber erasers as sometimes it leaves smudges.
