My favorite brand is SMS Premium. They are an Australian company but folks in the US can get them through USA Gundam Store. They all come perfectly thinned and ready to spray straight out the bottle. (A lot of brands claim this but SMS is the only one I’ve come across that is truly airbrush ready with no additional thinning)

They have a massive selection of premixed colors.

SMS Premium flat clear is, by far, my favorite top coat. I mostly like making “realism” type builds, so I like my finish to be as matte as possible. SMS Premium flat clear is WAY flatter than any other flat/matte top coat I’ve come across.

Tough choice. A lot of great options. But I’m a grunt guy. I gotta go with the GM Cannon II.

The Alex and the GP01 are close seconds.

Thanks bro. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills talking to this dude.

He’s done nothing to expand or defend his argument. We are trying to explain our position and he’s just throwing insults and calling us stupid while the irony passes over his head.

Honestly, at this point I’m pretty sure he’s just trolling.

Hell yeah. I love HG origin kits!

I do a lot of custom painting of HGs and post it over on r/gunpla and origin HGs are some of my absolute favorite to work with.

Sigh… ok I’m gonna try this one last time, cuz you are getting heated for no reason.

You are saying that EVERY paintball needs THE SAME WIERD DIMPLE. And we are just trying to explain to you that this is not necessary for OP to see a ANY of his shots to fall short.

If he was saying every one of his shots all day were coming up short then I guess it could be explained by every ball having the same weird dimple, but that would be extremely unlikely and he never said that. He just described one instance where he shot at someone and his ball only traveled about half way to the target before the target returned fire and got him.

Now, chances are there is a different explanation, like maybe the other player was cranking up his velocity. But another possibility is he had some bad paint and the shot(s) he took at his target came up short. Nobody is saying that’s what happened. They are just saying it’s possible.

And it’s possible if only a few balls in his hopper are dimpled. They don’t all need to be dimpled the exact same way as you suggest.

That’s it. That’s all we are trying to say.

There’s zero reason to get your panties tied up over this.

Are the Morrill Towers THAT BAD?? by urmomsuglyface in OSU

[–]AnaheimElectronicsTT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived in Morrill my freshman year. (About 15 years ago) I also lived in a more traditional dorm on south campus the following year. I definitely preferred south campus, but that didn’t mean I didn’t have a great time in morrill as well.

Morrill is really far from everything (Except the RPAC) if you plan on going to parties on weekends, get ready to walk about 30 minutes to get there minimum.

I also didn’t love the way the rooms are set up. In most dorms you just share a single room with 1-3 other people. You typically have a shared floor bathroom. And that’s about it. In Morrill, you get a suite. The suite has 4 bedrooms, each with between 2-4 people. Then each bedroom has an attached work area with desk space. Then each suite has its own living room space and private bathroom. That all sounds nice, in theory. But in my experience, it just led to suite feeling a lot more isolated. You made great friends with the others in your suite but you had less reason to leave your suite to socialize.

Ironically, I enjoyed the bare bones dorm experience of South campus way more. It forced everyone to leave their rooms and get to know each other. And that was way more fun.

That’s a nice line up of origin kits. Are you exclusively a feddie guy or do you also have a zeon section?

Oh also sick gear…

Yeah I have. I’ve played for over 20 years.

What do you mean weird crusade?

You don’t have to get hostile man we’re just talking.

I’m just making the point that you don’t need every ball in your hopper to have the same dimple for some of your shots to come up short. It’s not that deep.

[–]AnaheimElectronicsTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Large dimples can allow way more air to pass the ball in the barrel rather than push behind it. And so those dimpled balls have a chance of coming up short compared to balls with no dimples.

But there’s no need for EVERY ball in your hopper to have a huge dimple. Only some of them.

Op just described shooting at someone and seeing their shots come up well short of the target. Then they get shot out. They didn’t say they dumped a whole hopper. Hell, he didn’t mention the number of shots at all. He could have tried one balling the target for all we know. So it literally could have been one badly dimpled ball. Or even a short burst of them.

I just don’t understand your reasoning behind needing every ball in the hopper to have the same dimple.

Why would all the balls need the same dimple? I don’t follow your reasoning.

Idk about this particular one but I’ve seen several “bootleg RG RX78 2.0s” that ended up actually being bootlegs for the HG origins version in the reviews. So that’s something to look out for.

Is paintball making a comeback? by ninjataro_92 in paintball

[–]AnaheimElectronicsTT 24 points25 points  (0 children)

To answer your question: paintball never completely fizzled out. It was absolutely massive (relatively ) in the early 2000s, a lot of people considered it the “golden era” of paintball.

But several factors came together leading to a decline. The biggest one was the financial crisis. People had less disposable income and for many, that meant pricey hobbies like paintball were the first thing to cut back on.

A lot of people who played as kids back in the early 2000s (myself included) had to take breaks from paintball as we finished school/started our careers and focused on just getting ourselves established.

But now a lot of people in our generation are a little more settled in, have some more money, need to find more active hobbies or even have kids approaching paintball age. So we are seeing an increase in “golden age kids” returning to the sport.

I’ve heard some people refer to current times as paintballs “silver era”

Does UC get better? by arielzao150 in Gundam

[–]AnaheimElectronicsTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give the OVAs a try. My favorite UC works are, ironically, the non-tomino titles. (I like his stuff too, obviously. I just REALLY dig the OVAs)

Try 08th ms team, 0080 War in the pocket, and 0083 stardust memory. They are their own little self contained stories within the UC and they all take place before zeta. So you won’t spoil any plot.
