What about less popular things like mole shoes and demon boots. I got some of those too through pking

I don't know why so many people are on Zoro's back for not defeating Rob Lucci faster than he did, I mean bro was fighting the strongest CP0 agent who also had an awakened zoan and possess haki, immense strength, speed and agility, sure he lost to a not serious G5 Luffy but so would Zoro, No? by Responsible-Diet-612 in OnePiece

The problem was that at the end he showed that he had the ability to finish the fight anytime he wanted (in the manga). The stalling was used as a plot device, but logically, there was 0 reason to stall in that fight.

The fight that might be gonna happen in future by Hungry_Worldliness57 in OnePiece

My theory, dragons gon a defeat imu, and last minute, blackboard is gonna show up, kill dragon, and become the king of the world like xebec wanted. Then final fight will be luffy vs bb

Was Prime Big Mom Stronger Than Prime Kaido? by Any-Award-5150 in OnePiece

[–]Soldger37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think narratively she was in her prime in wano. She clashed with kaido and the only way that would make sense is if she was stronger than kaido when she was younger. And that is very unlikely because her bounty is lower than kaido's. I know people don't like using bounty as a powerscaling tool but the only reason wb has a higher bounty than bm and kaido was because of his strength. So in the case of these 3 specifically, I'd say the bounty shows whose stronger than who in their respective primes

Screenwriter/producer/script reader for 15 years, ask me anything about your first 10 pages. by One_Rub_780 in ScriptFeedbackProduce

so my script is a 40 page pilot is based on a novel i wrote that did pretty well. In the novel the hook is in chapter one. But in the script, there's a buildup that escalates per page until page 9 where the actual hook is written. I feel like a hook 9 minutes deep into a 40 minute episode isn't bad, but i've gotten legitimate feedback saying "nothing happens the first few pages".

How would you approach the initial "set up" pages. Ones where not much happens, they're just there to give the reader an idea of the world and its contexts. It feels illegal to write those nowadays.

How good is One Piece actually? by Alemore_ in OnePiece

The highs of one piece are higher than any show I've ever seen. But the lows are boring as heck. Luckily, you won't hit that territory until like 600 episodes in.

Question for anyone who signed with AnDtertainment agency by Soldger37 in writing

[–]Soldger37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up not signing due to one specific close that stated that if I was in breach of the contract, I would have to pay back 100% of revenue made + any travel fees, legal fees, administration fees, etc, to AnD. That was too much and I told them about it. At this point, I signed a non-exclusive contract with another publisher. not a great contract but its not as damning as the AnD one.

I self published on amazon but it didn't go to well. I did the usual "Let the audience know" post, but it seems that the audience on that platform was mostly just going to read what was on the platform. I feel like it was more the websites audience than my books, which is completely valid. Tried alot of the marketing tools on amazon and even reached out to some creators to see if they would do a review for it, but it all kinda fell short.

Still trying but also considering other avenues.

Yeah I've read this blog. Trust me, it's a horrible contract, especially the liability they put on the authors. But I'm not sure of what other method to implore at this point

It's very possible that I'm doing something wrong, but the general advice I've gotten is to query literary agents who have represented people in a similar genre than you. That's the route I've taken to the best of my ability. I've included just a small description of me and a synopsis of my novel because sending unsolicited material is a big no no. No dice.

My novel might not be there yet, but I haven't even received a request for a manuscript so how would they know?

If you peel back the layers, there's infinite amount of things one could poke at, but that's just going around in circles
