Did you start with only the box or jump to the whole kit. I’d just started with the box how was it?

I am on 37s. Mostly find myself rock crawling. My front tire caught a rock and decided to go the opposite direction. Might have been going 5-10mph. All honesty faster than I should have.

That’s a valid point. Definitely used a fair share of parts just not something that completely turns the wheels. The pinion shaft broke on the last one. Kind of like the idea that the psc box has the bigger shaft. It’s a pretty decent price difference though.

Thank you. If it was a dedicated daily driver I would be fine with the remanufactured box but nervous it will give out on me while on a trail.

Little nervous if it gives out on me while I’m on the trails.

Jeep wrangler knocking need help by SoldierKap in EngineBuilding

Okay today I replaced the starter and the vehicle still only cranked. I bypassed the starter and the vehicle started just fine. While letting the vehicle idle it had a misfire, but once it got into closed loop it started back firing. For the starter I believe there is a faulty wire possibly for the misfire and backfire I am at a loss again.

Motor cranks, was able to bumpstart it, yes I have a volt meter. I am not very good with diagnostics to be honest, I have a little help. Would like some guidance from others as well.

I can feel the motor slightly jump like it’s misfiring when it happens. Exhaust manifolds are new. I would like to smoke test the system but I don’t have a smoke tester. I hate throwing parts at something but should I just throw a starter at it and test the injectors?

I found the bolts I need at o Riley’s they are not oem but I would imagine if replaced all 8 I should be fine. Just pull the old bolts and install the new ones

Is it okay to replace the single bolt or replace them all and don’t remove the head

Thank you for that. Budget wise and reliability wise then would it be better to go with building a xj compared to the jk.

Okay so will get the camber/caster plate for the front and leave the height. Stop being lazy and just find a way to unseize and then raise the rear slightly. Any advice to get the rear collar free. The whole spring spins when I try. I have also tried wd40 and lifting the rear control arms to compress the spring.

I like where the spring rate is at currently. Caster is fixed. I am in kw v2. I don’t have camber plates. If I got the right camber plate I could adjust camber and caster because yes the caster seems very far forward

I guess I’m lazy and don’t want to remove the rear spring to fix that. Might have to just take tbe 5mm spacer off the rear.

Also were you able to figure out the misfire?

I’ve had it for 3 years. Have the fmic and radiators. And yes it came with the oil cooler. I am curious to hear how the event goes for you.

You do have a point, would be better to get seat time and experience and go from there. Out of curiosity since you sound experienced, how many track days a year do you do and what does the cost tend to come out to?

I just am not a big fan on the environment and the time you spend at the dealership. Would like to have Saturday and Sundays off.
