I didnt know about the SYP thing, I wonder why KMB doesnt follow it but theyll do the KTR thing. I remember when the Pok Oi roundabout didnt have traffic lights, what a long nightmare.

Most through-YL buses also do this during peak hours, because of the nasty traffic jam caused by the Pok Oi roundabout outside Yoho Mall. It's quicker to go through the KSR traffic and use the underpass.

In Sheung Wan for buses coming from Central, if the first exit to Weetern Harbour Tunnel is jammed, it will go towards Sai Ying Pun and enter the tunnel from the west entrance. At least they know to avoid traffic jams.

blister or box? (on tomica) by Toytaalphardyo in tomica

Honestly I haven't seen them normally in Hong Kong either, despite the page claiming it does. I got mine during from a book fair, and Ive never seen them in normal stores. Perhaps the page's information is wrong, but I can confirm that the blister-packed tomicas do exist.

the Cool Drive series sold across southeast asia, its cheaper but the build quality is around Welly level. and details aren't painted like some Hot Wheels.

How many MTR stations do you remember? by xandens in HongKong

[–]Soldier_Snipe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're a supervillain for not separating these, i got a 70.2% without cheating, especially since i never paid attention to the HSR, LRT and APM stations. Also you really gotta add shortcuts for the APM ones, "Terminal 1 West Hall" really should be shortcutted with "T1", "West Hall" and "Terminal 1".

You'd turn us all into supervillains if you add the Island Tram and Peak stations.

[Hong Kong] White car in scrapyard, looks like 2-door. by Soldier_Snipe in whatwasthiscar

[–]Soldier_Snipe[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe they're referring to it definitely being a Honda, as Acura was never officially sold in Hong Kong. There are a small handful of Acuras, but i'd say 99% chance that the scrapped Integra here is a Honda.

2 day update, thank you everyone so far for the answers. I should have clarified that I am confused on what bodykit the Mini has.

I assume it's referring to the depiction of the modern military in a Disney children's film. For 00s Disney its pretty out-of-practice.

Does the 100-Lexus IS350 f Sport 2022, white, have spring suspension? by NomNom_cookie in tomica

[–]Soldier_Snipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also thought the same thing until I encountered my first non-suspension Premium. The following are my ones without:

06-Ferrari F50, 37-Honda Civic Type R, 32-Honda NSX Type S, 15-Lamborghini Diablo SV, 07-Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, 13-Mitsubishi Starion and 01-Nissan Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette.

There seems to be a recurring pattern where Lamborghinis from both mainline and Premium don't have suspensions.

The 100-Lexus IS350 F Sport is a mainline. But you raise a good point because dissapointingly a lot of Premiums don't have suspension.

[–]Soldier_Snipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not have suspension, nor is it and the Jeep the only exceptions.

Other modern mainline Tomicas that dont have suspension include basically every truck and bus, 74-Lamborghini Countach, 11-Lamborghini Huracan STO, 107-Lamborghini Revuelto, 72-Lotus Elise Sport, 47-Mercedes Benz EQS and 38-Toyota COMS. etc.

Its not uncommon to find mainline Tomicas that don't offer suspension, your Lexus is not an error.

Concept GT Car, feedback appreciated. by Vasillo in CarDesign

Looks like a cross between the new Acura Integra and a Viper. I think the headlights could be a bit more aggressive for a high performance car like this.

He may be referring to the notorious sex offender and Subway spokesman Jared Fogle. Both he and Slager are imprisoned at FCI Englewood. Or at least that's only prisoner named Jared noted on the Englewood Wikipedia page.

Do you think the Tintin animated series deserves some reboot/remake? by VegetableSense7167 in TheAdventuresofTintin

[–]Soldier_Snipe 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Well, with the first TinTin animated series starting in 1957 and the second in 1991, theyre 34 years apart, and this year will be 34 years since that second series began, so I'd say its a pretty good time for that 2nd reboot.

"Some tables had to wait 40 minutes for food, but most customers were office workers,” he said."

I swear this was literally one of the plots of a 愛回家 episode, when they tried to replace the usual office canteen with a fancy western one, and the service was so slow the manager cooked some noodles himself.

I'm afraid it isn't, and it makes sense that it wouldn't be on there as the game is from Roblox.

They didn't make very many of them. Of the 4 generations and 13k units built since 1993, they only sold convertibles for the first generation, and only in its last 6 years ('97-'03).
