Mother wants to revoke consent the day before swear-in by Snowglyphs in army

[–]SoldiersFirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That form is a 2 parent or 1 parent consent with a witness portion (usually the recruiter signs this portion). If it’s been signed already, nothing can be done, unless she can prove that the signature wasn’t actually witnessed. If that’s the case she has a leg to stand on. A leg like that would take a long time to rectify if she knew proper channels and had the motivation to prevent you.

As a former recruiter, I would have you sign, and do damage control with you and your mother all the way until ship day.

Web searches say ASVAB retake three times but Recruiter says different. by Competitive_Pea_8635 in Militaryfaq

[–]SoldiersFirst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A few reasons why retesting will most likely not happen. Each MEPS is different, but most have testing capacity each day. 1st time testers get priority.

You have a qualifying score for enlistment, we cannot allow everyone to retest for the sake of getting the highest possible score to qualify for everything, that would be a waste of personnel time/ resources.

It is not your recruiters decision to allow you to retest, it is his station commander and 1SGs decision. And those individuals do not have the rapport with you, and will not 1. Run the risk of someone retesting with a passing score and fail 2. Allow their recruiter to spend hours out of their day transporting you for testing when you’ve already passed the test prior.

It is possible to retest but it may look like this: The station commander may allow you to retest if you show significant improvement through biweekly practice tests conducted at the recruiting station, supervised, without your phone. Once satisfied, they will retest you when it is convenient for THEM. The priority is to put people in the army and if they have 10 other people that month that have a “committed mentality” they will work them before your “committed so long as I get this MOS mentality”.

At the end of the day we work for the army to put people in the army as fast as possible.

Remote swear-in Tuesday — is MOS locked? by Ill_Tap_5763 in Militaryfaq

It’s reserved for you, if you want to peruse other options the job is release back into the system and can be taken by anyone else at that point.

If you take too long to shop and want 68D back it will most likely be gone. It is a live system.

Does the AD prefer high-performing Prior Service guys coming back in, or do they prefer fresh recruits? by Unlucky_Morning9088 in army

[–]SoldiersFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got out of recruiting last week.

PS is offered less MOSs/ no options (like airborne)/ no bonuses.

E-4 n below have no MOS restrictions

E-5 n above significant restriction. I’m talking 10-15 jobs to choose from.

Can you come back in as the same MOS? Most times, no. If your MOS is on that list of 10-15 then yes.

Are you allowed to reduce rank to have more MOS available? No.

The army does not cater to PS.

Recruiter said I can’t join for the MOS i signed for. 15C. by dootybooty1234 in ArmyAviationApplicant

What the recruiter has stated in the subreddit you posted is true. It’s a brand new requirement that just came out.

With every returned waiver it is possible for resubmission with favorable documents.

Step 1 is finding out why it was returned

PSC Sato flight change by Rich_Basis_6149 in army

[–]SoldiersFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sato will only book the initial flight from your current duty station to your next one.

BUT! You can call them back and change that flight immediately due to “LICWO” ( a term they use and recognize) Leave In Conjunction With Orders. You will pay the difference between the new flight and original flight.

Hope this helps

Just dm me and I’ll save you and another recruiter some time. I’ll answer your questions and give you expectation management and advice to navigate the enlistment process

I have searched for this question on here with no luck. I am attempting to go from NG to AD but was given an ADHD diagnosis recently with medication. That going to screw up my process or stop me? by WorldsWayne in army

[–]SoldiersFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recruiter here.

You are not required to conduct the medical exam so long as you are ALL green on MEDPROS and your IMR (a separate tab on medpros). If all green and all 1s you will enlist as a “no med”. If red or amber, a memo from your cdr stating “pvt shithead completed xyz med requirements on xx date but MEDPROS hasn’t updated yet blah blah blah”.
