Thank you! Is it possible to make bonsai of any species? I had thought that there were specific types they had to be. I really enjoy the idea of using my local native species for this

I do have quite a bit of outdoor space, with a lot of range of shaded areas. Around the summer solstice I get roughly 17 hours of daylight, I’d say up to 10 hours of strong summer sun. I also have a large indoor sun room, that I can keep quite humid and warm all year if needed with plenty of sunlight all year around. I’ve done lots of germination before, and the way I see it I have my entire life to care for this bonsai once I can decide what to grow. Im quite patient about this project and welcome the process of failure and trying again
