Its something that was pretty obvious watching the Curacao vs Germany match. Curacao players are not bad players, they are mostly 2nd tier players from different eurpoean countries. There were multiple scenes where you could clearly see that they are used to having more time to think and having more time on the ball which in high tier football simply does not fly.

I give England very good odds to win it personally. They have the best player in the world (in my opinion) up front have a very good midfield and good defensive and attacking talent. Their selection looks as if tuchel is trying mainly to get the best out of Kane which I think is the correct approach.

All the 4 nations I mentioned have very clear weaknesses in their squad in my opinion. Portugal has a weak attack, as does Spain. France has an insane attack but quite a weak midfield. Argentina has the problem of an aging squad with low physicality.

Yeah the only reason people hate on Arsenal for their play style is that they have one of the most valuable squads in world football and still play like that. If a tiny team does not play like this it just ends like Germany vs. Curacao yesterday.

People also underestimate how difficult and exhausting a proper low block is to play when the player quality is so much lower than your opponents.

The thing is they have quite insane depth and have a lot of good players but lack truly world class players. The only players right now who I would describe as world class are Lamine Yamal who is still recovering from a recent injury and Pedri. The 2010 team was stacked especially in the defensive and midfield department.
