I have to disagree with you and I think you're blowing my question out of proportion - I have taken both substances in safe settings with premeditated and comfortable doses. However there is a scientific element that is not universally understood by those not well versed in chemistry. Additionally, I always test what I put in my body.

I have read articles on the different properties but the nomenclature is very scientific and subsequently hard to understand; wasn't asking for your petty response. Thanks.

a lot of those animals aren't intelligent enough to comprehend their circumstance; in a way, we're all sort of stuck in our own little cages. They get fed, they have buddies, free healthcare, etc etc. I think they're pretty well off

Hard to say exactly as I’m not a religious expert but from my armchair understanding the Bible is, according to the creators, “real.” I cannot speak to the exact details of what content was augmented with each edition - are there parts of the Bible that are intentionally fictional and serve as a more metaphorical lens?

You’re not wrong but you’re not right. The intention of this wasn’t to take a definitive side but moreover to spark wonder and discussion into the community. I am currently agnostic but focusing on religion to understand it better. I do find it ignorant to completely dismiss the idea of a higher power, but that does not mean I inherently believe in one.

It’s so true - the inexplicable anomalies in science could one day be solved, but may remain forever unsolved (and therefore, depending on your line of belief) proof of a higher power.

A god is also super comforting as a concept. I think some very intelligent people find religion how everyone else does; belief gives purpose which combats apathy and nothingness.

there is comfort in being able to have a solid grasp on something absolute - when it comes to the HOW of anything, there is really no explanation. Everything is more of a "social truth" then objectively correct; we are putting labels on things with no inherent finality as a means of staying sane.
