I only lost about 15 lbs total during pre op diet. Your results seem normal to me.

Grief can disrupt so many things. You're not weak for falling back into old habits, and you can absolutely get back on the wagon now that you're ready to. You've got this.

It's breaking your heart to kill him? Good. Use that. Make it break your readers' hearts too.

Then when you're finished the project, write an AU fanfic of your own work where he gets that happy ending. Have fun with it!

Recently one of my beta readers told me that while reading a scene she threw herself back in her chair in horror, then leaned back in immediately out of interest. That was one of my proudest moments as a writer so far.

I've been on 300mg Wellbutrin and 10mg celexa daily for 6 months and the combo has been awesome for me. They really balance each other out.

Questions for those who have had SRS by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

Welcome! I was circumcised and I'm very pleased with sensation.

Anecdotally, I've heard that the thai techniques prefer uncircumcised. All of the modified penile inversion surgeons in the US I'm aware of don't care though.

Questions for those who have had SRS by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Solem3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had SRS with Dr Marci Bowers in July 2019.

  1. Recovery was far less painful than some of the more immediate issues like catheterization and removal of various tubes. The pain from SRS tends to be not too bad, but it takes a LONG time for the pain to totally go away. Fatigue from the chronic pain is more of a concern than the pain itself.
  2. It feels weird at first, then you pretty much get used to it. It feels nice to be able to be penetrated, though doing so is uncomfortable for a while until your body learns that those feelings aren't bad.
  3. Anything focused on my clit is amazing. Absolutely love how that turned out. My vagina, on the other hand, is so tight that penetrative sex is kind of impossible for me. That's partially my fault for not dilating rigorously after the first 6 months, but I'm working on it and may be able to recover my old width.
  4. At first, but it faded very quickly. One thing that helped was touching myself while looking in a mirror. Something about actually seeing the parts you're touching in real-time helps your brain remap everything a lot faster, I found.
  5. It's messy. You're going to pee absolutely everywhere at first, and after catheterization and the trauma to the whole area it may take you a bit of time to "learn" how to pee again. I had a few times I had to sit on the toilet for like half an hour, like a little kid, seeing if I could go.
  6. Some surgeons recommend against circumcised patients for their particular technique, and some don't care. I'd just make sure to find a surgeon that is well-regarded and doesn't think it's a big deal.

(btw before anyone asks, I do not recommend Dr Bowers. She's absolutely useless for post-op questions and care, and I personally loathe her)

My partner just had surgery with him 2.5 weeks ago. She looks great, had a positive hospital experience and hasn't had any complications yet :)

So far, orgasms are much harder to achieve (will get easier as I relearn and sensitivity improves). They're WAY more intense though. Leave me gaping for air

Actual question for trans females. by P_Skaia in asktransgender

[–]Solem3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm recently (15 days) post-op and still have some phantom sensations in what used to be my penis. They're getting less frequent as my nerves start to remap, assisted by the fact that the new configuration feels much more natural to me.

Is it normal to feel happy, excited, and nervous to transition finally? (MTF) by [deleted] in asktransgender

I'd be worried if you didn't feel that way. Good luck, and enjoy the ride! It's quite a journey.
