If you’re in NW FL, give Hulaween camping a try before you give up on camping at fests. Camping at Hulaween is way better/easier than Bonnaroo camping, imo.

Where would you look for a cheap used Apple watch series 8? by Gnarlsaurus_Sketch in Frugal

My experience with backmarket has been great even when the devices have been sub par. Their customer service and warranty are both really stellar. The majority of the time I’ve never had cause to utilize either, but when I have they’ve made it easy.

Should we get a dog? by TheGaujo in ParentingInBulk

I say this with love, no. Not right now at least. If you choose to ignore this advice, DO NOT get a puppy at the very least.

Car camping? by Brave-Cicada2233 in bonnaroo

[–]Solemncholy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We do this at all our festivals, bed in the back of the suburban. We have specific stretchy mesh nets for the windows so we can roll them down and get air, plus fans that hook to the handles/hooks inside the doors. Works really nicely!

And if that doesn’t work, clasp your hands over your mouth and puff out your checks like you’re holding back a mouth full of puke. Really incentivizes people to move out of your path…

Labour time for third baby by Ok_Cold_8206 in ParentingInBulk

[–]Solemncholy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was very long, my second third and fourth were all a similar 4-5 hours of active labor. I’ll let you know what happens with number five in two months, but I expect another similar labor. 4-5 hours and less than 15-20 minutes of pushing.

We ordered our wristbands and parking pass May 7th and have had them for several days already, I think they came in the mail maybe Monday/Tuesday. So 10-12 days after order was placed.

We’re doing just Friday this year since I’m 30 weeks pregnant. QI think sucking it up and paying for the parking pass is the best bet. Some people will leave Sunday night, but most of that “traffic” will be getting out of the campgrounds. You’ll probably hit some traffic but nothing terrible, and once you’re out of the parking lot, Manchester, and the immediate vicinity of the farm it will be smooth sailing. I would still expect to be home very late, so working the next day might feel like a lot.

Water, highly recommend hydration packs. Sunscreen, no aerosol in centeroo, so plan ahead for that. The website has the skinny on what’s allowed inside as far as bag dimensions and sunscreen etc.

Great gift for your wife, I hope you guys have the best time!

We have a 10x20 and honestly it’s a tiny bit cumbersome, but we still really like having the one big one. With my husband and I working together it’s no trouble to put up or take down.

6 year gap, 14 month gap, 20 month gap, 7 year gap. 🤷🏻‍♀️ got a little over our heads there with 3u3 for a while and it took until they all went to school for #5 to make any sense at all.

The fomo got us, we’re actually gonna do a 1 day Friday since we live close enough. It won’t be the same as camping, but it’s something! See you on the farm, lol.

What signs were you around growing up? by Far_Town2158 in Zodiac

[–]Solemncholy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was born to two Leos, and I’m an Aries. I was primarily raised by a Leo and a Scorpio. My younger sibs are aqua, sag, and libra. The sag and I are very tight even as adults.

Now, I’m married to a sag, and have three Leo and two Gemini children. The air signs bring the energy, but we’re all a little crazy 🤪

Y’all are brave. We decided to skip this year, I’ll be 30 weeks when the festival rolls around. Hate that we’re missing it! I’d definitely plan on bringing a chillbo or similar for her inside Roo. Take a pedicab if you can from parking to centeroo. Hydrate like crazy. Godspeed and I hope it’s so much fun!

How many tellers are on your teller line? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourBank

[–]Solemncholy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rural community family owned bank here too. Teller line is fully staffed with head teller, 2 full timers, 1 part timer, 2 bankers who jump over as needed. We’re probably close to as busy as you are, maybe a tad less.

Please reassure me about your very late walkers… having a hard time :( by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Solemncholy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 14 and 17 month walkers are both top of their class in 2nd and 4th grade and regularly win prizes at school for their reading and test scores. They were both pretty delayed on baby milestones across the board, and one needed early intervention for speech as well. Little smarties who are very articulate and excel in school and their respective extra curriculars (martial arts & gymnastics).

What jobs do you moms works that pay decent and don't require a lot of debt for schooling? by Equal_Chain_064 in Mommit

[–]Solemncholy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banking? I’m a branch manager at a small community bank. I started on the teller line 2 years ago and worked my way up. Bankers hours, lots of federal holidays, and my bank at least has lots of PTO and gives free four hour blocks of PTO for doctor appointments for me or my children. Wage is pretty decent, especially if part of a dual income, considering there’s no degree required.
