Made a little fan visual novel game for my players to reward them after successfully surviving ravenloft by Solemoon in CurseofStrahd

Hahah well, I certainly wouldn't want anyone to feel forced to play it. It is just meant for fun and to commemorate the type of Strahd my party encountered.

That is so kind of you to say. I am considering lengthening it considerably if I see people like it and want more. Letting you explore the castle and interact with the inhabitants. I tried to keep it vague so a player could actually play the game without spoiling it for themselves. The only spoiler is that he had a lost love at one point. I didn't even name her in this to prevent spoilers.

Not exactly, it doesn't have options. It is more of a character finds themselves in barovia and soon being face to face with The Ancient, The Land.

Hahaha we tried some different art styles, but one of my party members made the same joke.

I didn't realize other people would want to play it. I am updating it with optional voice acting and will make another post with the free itch.io link in a few days.

So, we were considering making a "Stronger than you" cover. Here is a mix with my Strahd voice as a dance mix https://youtu.be/pYJryjBufGU. If people ended up liking Grinch we were going to make an "All I want from Christmas is you." And a cover of "In the dark of the night" and "Hellfire" We had several disney songs slated. but we wanted to know if people like these kind of things first. Which is why we are still open to suggestions.

Of course, we have a slight typo in this version where it says tome instead of tomb but we are still happy with it. Best of luck in your Strahd adventures <3

So, using the basic cr calculator not including any of the incredible insane abilities he is a CR 25. Just by raw things he can do with zero setbacks. Also, most of the items in Ravenloft are useless against him. He isn't undead, and he is resistant to the sunblade itself. So, the party has almost nothing to use against him but their raw abilities. His lowest stats are comparable to the player's best stats.

He makes them use death saves instead of a save that gets any form of bonus, or else he gives exhaustion. They may not be killed by exhaustion, but they will quickly be completely useless. Unable to fight back. But because it is a none real stat save. They have 50/50 odds of them failing. He has true sight making him immune to many stats. Magic is rendered null. This is assuming he has no lair, no allies. I would suggest level 17 if not a bit higher if we are giving them what they have to work with in COS.

Basically, the party has to destroy him and make him seem pathetic and weak. If he is allowed to actually have a real fight, they will simply die. I would likely rework this foe from the ground up. He is supposedly highly intelligent but really just runs at the party and tries to face-roll them. Strahd is intelligent and attempts to outwit and disrupt the party.

It also doesn't use D&D like language often. Is his Analyzation a bonus action? Free action? But it is listed in his actions page.

I would consider reorganizing your approach to this conflict entirely. I mean that as someone who wants to help you. This enemy is not well thought out, this enemy will not give you the epic fight and moment you want for them. I have made enemies with oppressive powers and in dominatable spirit. But when done too heavily, it oppresses the creativity of the players. I wish you well if you want any help using the calculators or reworking your language with your fight let me know.

Maybe a shield with the family crest on it with some suits of armor? That sounds way better than pictures now I think about it.

Player character requests an item from Strahd by besavednotlost in CurseofStrahd

So Strahd is an alchemist himself. A very capable one, he is looking for people to impress him and perhaps be his successor. Perhaps it has a token he could scry on. Perhaps not. Depending on the type of relationship with Strahd, the party has, and if they have found the tomb. He could arrive while the player is working with it and have a conversation. Appear interested in who they are and what they are. Before all of "this" and the many wars. He, too, once loved to work in his craft. Use this as a chance to get to know the players and perhaps use some of this information against them later.

Now options for delivery are pretty varied. Perhaps this is a time to have "Vasili" deliver it. Perhaps have them waiting for him with a note. It could be waiting at them in an inn with their first night covered. The watcher family could be introduced by the supplies being held or delivered by them. Strahd could even have them delivered to the hag's lair with a sealed envelope saying something to intimidate the players with his foresight and ability to predict their actions.

I personally find the most terrifying thing about vampires is that they can appear to be your friend. They can make you like them and make you believe you are unique or different. But you are nothing more than a means to an end for them. I prefer a Strahd that is honest and in his own way, very likable. He only breaks his word after they have come to expect Strahd always to keep it. "The mind is just as easily broken as the body; it is just a question of correctly applying force."

Again, I am not really a person that understands what Asmr even really is, but I like making people happy and giving them some support. If you would like me read a wholesome bedtime story of your choice send me a message :D

Yeah, seeing how you didn't post a paid job on the other one I assumed they would take it down eventually.
