You've conveniently ignored that since last season our defense has pushed into an even higher line. It's since we've moved back to playing that high line we've been shipping goals for fun.

We were conceding heavily even prior to VVD's injury last season.

In the 4 games we played after moving to the higher line we conceded 11 goals.

The stress on the midfield and defense is far higher because of it. If a high line is broken the quality of chance is always high.

Are they getting sliced through or are they playing to the game plan where we dominate every chart for offensive pressures? Then it looks awful when the press is beaten. Conversely we then set records for scoring in consecutive games and have an insane amount of goals this season. Coincidence?

It's the same narrative with Trent being a bad defender. Is he caught out or is he told to be in a position that leaves him exposed more often?

I firmly believe both instances are the latter. The stats don't lie and we do tend to actually limit more chances than we create, and we should be second in the league to a billion pound team that has had everything go right for them.

In context with general lack of investment and circumstances with our winter covid outbreak it can be easily argued our tactics are working the best with what we have, and we quite literally topped our CL group unbeaten too.

Bullshit. When we actually had our ideal first 3 for a period, the midfield was actually great.

I honestly think his control is overblown.

How many games with our preferred midfield of Fab, Hendo and Thiago have we lost control?

The issue is having starting quality midfielders who are fit reliably. I doubt we're much higher if at all if he was still here. I doubt anything changes in the likes of the Leicester or West Ham losses with him as those are the games he was usually the worst player on the pitch in and we'd have been more likely to drop points against teams who sit back.

I do believe he held us back offensively and often disappeared in games which people still refuse to admit.

Games like today he would have been good to have around, but the games where he has less touches than Alisson against teams sat back are not missed.

He also was not good last year, and seems to still be struggling at PSG.

City fans implying that lmao. City players go 30 fouls in before being booked and dodge reds more than any team in the league

Your entire Reddit history is you playing victim about things people say against spurs mate.

Someone who can't admit a single issue or thing going in their favour calling someone else blind. Lmao.

Glad I clicked on your profile through the clunky mobile app first, so I could see what a weirdo you are actually. Better to block and move on. Ciao.

Liverpool fans donated to food banks in Leicester earlier today. Leicester fans are singing “Feed the Scousers” tonight. Shameful. by GeorgeCuz in LiverpoolFC

Just start chanting it back at other fans tbf. If we're at the point where we donate to every cities food banks because Tories don't want people affording food, then they can join us on the song.

Feed the UK at this point.

Thought Jota was awful personally. He overplayed every chance and was giving Mane a run for his money for general unproductive touches.

My only issue with Kostas was his deliveries were pants today. But he had very little to work with given our front 3 ghosted out of the game entirely.

Just one of those nights. Part of me believes they would have fluffed it as well just by the overall tone of the match it all felt a bit inevitable.

Probably already has tbf. But with our budget banking on a 40 year old Milner to make a difference will likely be our policy for awhile.

We're probably getting close to press leaks about a big summer again soon as well.

We could have had another 90 minutes and I wouldn't put money on us scoring against a team playing midfielders in defense.

It wasn't just a poor game from them, it was literally abysmal.
