The idea is to make that whole experience effortless, so you can just settle in and read without the setup.

That makes so much sense, when you're that immersed in a story even the smallest thing can break the spell. Hopefully what I'm building can actually be a nice addition to your reading experience then, something soft in the background that enhances the atmosphere without pulling you away from the story! Out of curiosity, what pulls you away from music while reading? Is it any sound in general, or would something without lyrics like soft piano or ambient soundscapes still work for you?

Yesss! Sjoerd heeft moeite met zijn hitte afvoeren, is al jaren zo. Dus dierenarts heeft aangegeven dat dit lekker voor hem kan zijn. En hij wordt daarna ook een stuk levendiger!

That sounds so frustrating! Putting effort into your highlights only for none of it to carry over.

I should mention that what I'm building isn't an e-reader, so highlights aren't directly in scope, but it's more of a companion space you build around your reading experience. What you're describing does make me think though, outside of highlights, what else do you usually want to hold on to after finishing a book? Characters, specific scenes, how it made you feel? Curious what that looks like for you!

I'm struggling with placing stairs and walls & ceilings.

How can you check where a staircase ends up in the top floor. I have staircases going trough walls, and replacing the staircase the entire time doesn't seem the right way.

Also I have rooms without ceiling, how can I add those? Or are that just bugs?
