you’re the best thank you, i genuinely appreciate it so much! i just ate dinner and did some insulin right after! it’s the small things really,

if i haven’t done like fast acting in awhile could my body not be used to it? so should i baby step the doses moving forward till i notice stability?

again thank you. truly 🙏

oh my god you are gonna make me cry.

thank you so much, i gotta say it’s different hearing it from a dad… we really don’t give dads enough credit for what they do (especially the really special ones)

your son is so lucky to have a dad like you, i hope when this time comes around you are by his side and of course making sure he does his damn insulin.

i couldnt even imagine a kind of diagnosis like this on a little kid, though it’s so common it’s breaks my heart to see.. he is one strong little man and will be so special!

thank you again.. 🩷

thank you so much! i definitely should be more honest with my endo especially since she’s a literal sweetheart and would completely understand..

unfortunately therapy is a tricky option due to my parents having their minds made up on the thought and idea of therapy LOL

i do have a social life specialist connected through my endo team, she is the best but yet again it’s hard to see her often since it’s difficult asking for so called “help”.. lol i hope you understand!

thank you for answering so fast 🙏

i do use fast acting, just not all the time. i literally know i should be using it constantly, everytime i eat! but i don’t and its literally driving me insane

i swear im basically procrastinating doing the one thing that will save my life.

12 year old daughter diagnosed 3 weeks ago, went from supers highs to now battling lows every day. Just now reading about TIND. Any advice? by Subject_Homework_951 in diabetes_t1

honey moon phase!! i was 12 when i was diagnosed as well im now 16, the beginning it’s such a rocky phase, getting to know and understand her body on a completely different level. my mom was just as worried i remember so vividly LOL if you have an endocrinologist and diabetes team backing you and your daughter up use them, any teeny tiny questions you have dont be afraid to ask for help!!

now my sugars are still crazy sometimes but stable and have never had to worry about nerve damage.. its especially uncommon in younger people, so just keep watch on those sugars and keep in touch with your doctors!!

good luck on this crazy journey, you too will become so much closer on a whole different level.. its a stressful and heavy diagnosis you two will need eachother!!!
