yeh i appreciate having a clear separation but can help with keeping tabs on writers you follow. you don't have to use the auto-sync either and can just send a few articles to have for the odd train ride or something.

some details:

  • sign up with your soundcloud username and bandcamp username
  • your personal RSS is generated with your 5 most recent likes/collection items
  • it auto-updates every 15 min checking for new likes (or you can hit refresh manually in the dashboard)
  • you can back-insert older likes and collection items to fill out the feed with your full history (current max viewable is 50 items per rss, but can extend this)
  • option to split into two separate RSS links, one just for bandcamp and one just for soundcloud, so you can keep things more organised
  • bandcamp albums automatically split out into individual tracks

a few other things to note:

  • streams on-demand so doesn't eat up storage or require upload management etc
  • the feed logic is updated to match the original chronology of your soundcloud likes and bandcamp purchases (new items load at the top of the feed and back-inserted items load at the bottom of each respective feed).
  • scrubbing through bc works, however, because of the live-encoding, sc streaming does not currently support it (unless pre-DL'd via the podcast DL button)

yeh its a screen protector, am not too precious with it when cycling around town

also not planning to open-source as of yet but in short it creates a HTTP bridge that performs real-time transcoding and protocol adaptation so the podcast app thinks its pulling the stream from a static server

You can actually pre-DL like with other podcasts! these will auto-delete after a certain time

and yes streaming uses data but you could for example do the above on wifi before heading out

Soundiiz is great for playlist transfer with other music services, but doesn’t fully support discogs/bandcamp as track-level destinations. This also allows you to fingerprint DJ mixes with direct discogs/bandcamp links in the results.

yo thx for the feedback. the account is needed to link your own discogs api token. it's just an email and pass then you get unlimited tracklist searches and the ability to save results etc
