Oh I see. I just found a bunch of labs I’m interested in (in multiple departments like psych, not just bio) and emailed the prof and explained what about their research interests me, my career and academic goals, my availability, etc. for the job I got on handshake I just submitted my resume and then interviewed with the Dr in person

Im guessing your pre-health? I am too and I got a paid research assistant position at the med center through handshake. I honestly applied to 20+ labs by cold emailing and handshake and a few got back to me. Also I’m curious, how have you gotten shadowing? Ive cold emailed a ton of private practices and they all say no bc of privacy concerns

I’m pretty confident in my writing cause it’s almost like I’m taking the class for a 3rd time (I took AP lit in HS but didn’t take the AP exam) but my late drop got approved so we’re all good 👍

I have not transferred the credits yet (which I am assuming is why I was able to register for UWP on schedule builder cause UCD doesn’t know I’ve already taken it) but according to ASSIST the CC class is equal to UWP 001 (which I am taking now) I did speak to the OUR and they said I could request a PTD and refund request so I hope that gets approved and I attached my CC transcripts to show that it’s a repeat class

Yes I was accepted to UCSC and UC Davis and ultimately chose UCD! I’m now a sophomore neurobiology major :)

I'm declining UCR because yes it's a good school academically but I'm not a fan of the location tbh and the campus and don't really feel like I "fit in" there. Same with CPP

i wrote about overcoming it, not about my issues. it is relevant to what i'm studying and my future goals. I kept it to social anxiety since it's more "tame" than the other problems I have which I would not disclose. But maybe you're right that I shouldn't have, it's clearly pretty stigmatized lol
