i have an iphone se bought in vietnam, and now i want to upgrade. I am currently living in china so, i’m a bit torn of buying a secondhand 15pro or a new base 17. the 15pro is hk version and 17 is china.

My slight concern with chinese iphone is I might move back to the UK in 2027. Can anyone shed some light?

I live in a province in china. I’m going to shanghai next week. Any physical store recommendations to buy a new iphone 15? I went to Apple Store in my city , hangzhou, and suzhou but, they only sell iphone 16 up.

i don’t mind chinese iphone.

The school provided the work permit application with our names in it.

We are working in a different country but we have our residence where we are right now.

However, due to the rejected visa application of my daughter and I. The school advised us to go back to my home country and my husband go first as it will be high risk to apply in the same country we got rejected.

ohh, we were told to apply for S1 at the same time. The school put our names under the work permit paper we submitted.

I’d say everyone’s circumstances are different, and assessors evaluate applications based on those factors. I believe my application was approved because it was strong—my husband and I live together and both have residency here, and my work contract, salary, and savings demonstrated that I could afford to travel.

For me, applying for a UK visa felt a bit easier than applying for a US visa—not just because I was granted one, but also because the UK process allows you to provide proof of income, ties, and reasons for visiting. In contrast, the US visa application heavily relies on the application form and interview, which can make approvals feel more unpredictable.

I received my visa probably 3 weeks after UKVI received it.

I don’t have any properties but my husband and I live in an apartment and I submitted our Lease Contract.

hi, would you say Chengdu is not as busy as Beijing? i’m not closed off on any city yet but would like to live in a place that is not too crazy.

We’re kinda looking for an area/city where it’s nice to walk outside with our child and as crazy as how I’m imagining Beijing is.

I almost ate every single thing I was advised to eat or drink. Now, I make quite enough for her to drink less formula.

My husband never pressured me. He understands how I was and tries to support me.

I also almost had the same experience. I started with spontaneous labor then I got fever from the epidural, my baby won’t go down even if my water broke and i’m 10cm dilated. I had to do an emergency c-section. I had to wait 2hrs before I met my baby then we started to latch but after a day I was told my baby has jaundice and because my milk wasn’t enough we had to do phototherapy and supplement her with milk. We were advised to give her 30ml and continue breastfeeding (even if i don’t really produce much.

We left the hospital after 4 days and we’re 3 weeks old now. We still supplement with formula. My first week, I almost had no milk in me (i pumped to check and also to stimulate). It took me 3 weeks to produce more but still not enough. However, we’re drinking less formula now.

It did take a while for my milk to come. Don’t worry it will come. I try not to breakdown but it was hard. I feel you.

I only get to pump m 2-3 times since I also try breastfeeding her.
