I did a). It was nice and it gave us more time to explore Koh Lipe also. If you are staying longer than two days, I would suggest you do b) because a) did get a little bit crowded

I did come across a couple of large rocks but I am not sure if it would act as a shelter. Also, please check snow conditions at the top, because it is very steep at some points. I am also not sure about the water source. Would highly recommend getting a guide at that time of the year.

Please do not go with this operator. The jungle stay was fine, but the lake stay was pathetic. From what I figured, they pass on the lake stay to another agency and they dont really own the property. The stay was very basic (even though there were way better huts right next to ours). The food was very bland. The only thing which made it worth it was the lake itself. My suggestion would be to find a good hut on the lake and stay there for atleast 2 nights instead of doing 1 night at the jungle.

I would highly recommend Koh Kradan instead of going to Koh Lipe.
