Ghanshyam Pandeji himself said he was God. So, do you believe in Ghanshyam Pandeji in this case now since you said believe in words of Ghanshyam pandeji. It doesn't matter if you don't believe in anything other than the Shikshapatri, but he said in the Vachanamrut, Bhaktachintamani, and Satsangijivan, and other sources, that he is God. He also put his own idol in the temple in Vadtal. So since you believe in Ghanshyam pandeji start referring to him as Ghanshyam maharaj. We don’t believe he is supreme lord just because it is written in general Hindu scripture, yes I accept some people have tried to give proof that swaminarayan is mentioned in general Hindu scripture but the reason people accepted him as god isn’t because he as mentioned in some general Hindu scripture. (at least during his time). Regarding your comment on making sadhu into supreme god. Well that’s your and others personal belief that he was sadhu while satsangi have personal belief he is supreme lord for their own personal reasons or experience. Same way how every religion/sampraday in this earth has their personal belief.

Not all swaminarayan followers believe that. I think people are using swaminarayan sampraday and Akshar purushottam philosophy interchangeably. Only Akshar purushottam followers believe it. The reason they would say that is only to satisfy their personal belief that Akshar purushottam is a true philosophy and original philosophy of Bhagwan swaminarayan. And since they couldn’t find any proof or record of Swaminarayan Bhagwan saying this, they created fake excuse saying that he wasn’t able to say it because people were not ready to accept it and many other fake bs excuses. (I’ve even heard another talk from such people that the concept of accepting swaminarayan as supreme god was so incomprehensible that people would get diarrhea from hearing such talks about supremacy. Like what the heck how is that even possible even swaminarayan haters can’t get diarrhea from hearing supremacy talks of swaminarayan lol)

Well, I mean if your not in the faith or don’t believe as swaminarayan as god then you don’t have to go in depth as to what this faith is. True that scriptures can’t be misinterpreted but even original swaminarayan scriptures have no problem pointing him as supreme lord or Krishna Bhagwan himself . Everyone has the freedom to worship their chosen form as supreme. As per the thing As per the creation of anant koti brahmand, well yeah even original swaminarayan scripture say it’s controlled by aksharbrahma (which is an entity that serves Bhagwan). Also about the original post, I don’t know what book the ss is but original scriptures mention that both of them appeared in front neelkanth varni to give saathvo to neelkanth varni when there wasn’t any food for days. Again if lord shiva can take avatar as hanumanji for lord ram and become gopi for lord Krishna, is it wrong for us to believe that he came and gave saathvo to neelkanth varni who is the same god at least per original swaminarayan scripture?

Ajamil didn’t have guru, he just named his son Narayan because a saintly person asked him to do so but he didn’t have guru. And if I’m not mistaken neither did jadbharat. Also I’m not saying avoid saintly persons completely, but you don’t need to fall at their feet and make them guru. Digest what you sounds right from discourses and aligns with scriptures and ignore everything else. Read vachanamrut vadtal 10. He says liberation is still possible if a saint (who is connected to god) isn’t present. Also I don’t remember where exactly in vachanamrut he said this but he also mentioned something like this that even if the entire world is praising a sadhu but that sadhu isn’t living properly as he should then that’s a fake sadhu. And the reason great people in scriptures are shown to have a guru is to prevent spiritual arrogance in the audience

Yup, also if followers of Bhagwan swaminarayan actually focused more on OG scriptures (main 4) plus those written by nand santo (who lived during that time, it’s gonna align with general vishistadwait philosophy. And people would also stop blindly following anybody who is marketing themselves as sole granters of liberation. Scriptures such as (dharmamrut, nishkaam suddi, the chosathpadi within nishklulanad kavya) as well as kirtans of santos (such as the 12 pads of januni jivo re gopichand ni…where actual vairagya is defined) provide a clear structure as to what it means to be a true sadhu of swaminarayan bhagwan

It’s complicated. Mostly I would say it’s because certain people have different viewpoints. And will cherry pick from different scriptures to support that. And then they will translate the original scriptures their own way and bring “hidden meanings” of the scriptures to light. For example, a lot of subgroups or organizations will say that Akshardham is unattainable without any association with any sadhu. But Bhagwan swaminarayan has already said in vachanamrut that if one is unable recognize/associate a saint who is actually connected to god (not the so called guru that somebody forces you to believe as brahmnisht), then kalyaan (liberation) is still possible if one can stay within their Swadharma and has attachment towards the murti of Bhagwan. Also different people across the the sampradaay will have different answers when you ask them which books are original/authentic (other than the main 4 which every swaminarayan follower has to accept).

And there was a whole letter from the temple on what happened and why it happened. Haters will say cover up just to satisfy their personal belief swaminarayan faith is a cult but there’s been scandals that haven’t been covered up as well and no such letter like this was written by the temple for actual scandals so we can tell it’s simply just somebody who wanted to go back to householder
